This was one of the more serious episodes in the series so far, and strangely it was also one of the most service oriented too.

This episode was pretty damn weird for its decision to show blatant panty shots (including one really dirty close up of Michiru pissing herself) during the very same moments that were intended to be poignant (or at least taken seriously). But hey, that’s Japan for you.
We see an out of body experience for Michiru where her body is blurred out, except at the very start when we get a clear look at a blank boob. Occasionally anime will choose to add nipples to out of body experience moments (Kiddy Grade, Super Robot Wars, etc). Hopefully that’s the case here as well.
The climax of the episode is highlighted by Michiru being visited by the ravaged ghost (or ghostly memory) of her friend that had committed suicide. For some reason she is shown as having her clothes completely destroyed around her right breast, leaving it out in the open, but “censored” by the swirling blackness that surrounds her. Like the Michiru scene earlier, you can catch a glimpse of a blank boob at a certain point.
The episode ends with a new ED, which features another obligatory Michiru ass shot.
I thought this episode was just okay, but it’s been fun to watch 8 bit bring such a nice effort in this series. The animation and art aren’t on par with what we see from elite anime production company, but for a relatively modest anime based on an eroge, Grisaia looks great.
