Revolves around four teenagers; Akina, Hime, Ao, and Kotoha; each of them having unique abilities. They help protect the townspeople of Sakurashin, a town where humans and youkai co-exist.
Based on the manga of the same name by Suzuhito Yasuda (Light Novel Illustrations of Durarara!! and DanMachi). First off a bit of history surrounding this title to avoid confusion, Studio Nomad released an adaptation of YQ back in 2008, but it was pretty awful to say the least. Later in 2010 Tatsunoko Productions adapted the Hoshi no Umi arc in a 3-Episode OVA and they nailed it, Tatsunoko managed to do YQ justice. 3 Years Later in 2013 they went for a full reboot of YQ titled Yozakura Quartet ~Hana no Uta~. This time around they started adapting the manga from the beginning (With some anime-original scenes featuring Lila) in a way that omits most of the boring in-between story arc dilly-dallying and went right for the good stuff: Fanservice, and Teenagers with powers fighting other teenagers with powers.
Hana no Uta starts from square one and eventually by Episode 8 reaches the point where Hoshi no Umi takes place, So those events are skipped and recapped in the Opening, and from there on out the arc with Lila finally takes place. Yes the titular “Hana no Uta” comes right near the end, and then comes Yoza-Quar!. Perhaps one of the worst ecchi BD/DVD Specials I have ever seen. When out of 6 Specials there is less than 60 Seconds of decent service you know you done messed it up. Overall this is a pretty fun show with a decent amount of service to keep you watching. Just wish there would have been more Lila service. This Fanservice Compilation includes these titles in this order:
