Ecchi blu-ray release dates for August 2015

The Winter 2015 ecchi series reach their final volumes, and Mujaki no Rakuen finally receives a much needed reboot.

Absolute Duo vol.05 (August 5th)

 

A shower scene in episode ten has solid potential to add nipples on BD. The ‘fuzzy’ splotches seem like a bit of a tell, but I guess we’ll see.

It’s a long shot, but there was also a ‘magical girl’ transformation scene later on that could technically change on BD as well, though these scenes typically only add nipples on shows that already have a lot of nudity.

 

Sidonia no Kishi: Daikyuu Wakusei Seneki vol.05 (August 26th)

 

There was basically zero fanservice of any kind in episodes 9 and 10, so barring unforeseen changes, this release is probably nothing to get worked up over.

 

Grisaia no Rakuen vol.01 (August 26th)

 

Like the previous iterations, Grisaia no Rakuen is going to do most of its fan servicing via the mini-OVA special. The latest special will once again feature Yumiko, who teased in a bunny suit the first go around.

Lucky for us, episodes one and two will offer a bit of uncensored content as well, with both Asako and Yuria getting cozy with Yuji.

 

High School DxD BorN vol.02 (August 26th)

 

As always, expect minimal changes on BD for this series, as it aired uncensored on AT-X. The real value of this volume will come from the mini-OVA special.

The latest installment is entitled “Church Trio’s Underwear, Amen!” This is likely making reference to Asia, Xenovia, and Irina.

 

Isuca: Gokuraku (OVA) (August 26th)

 

‘Dat cameltoe. ‘Dose bandaids. Isuca’s OVA appears to be a beach themed fanservice fest, which is really what the anime should have been all along instead of a schlocky “action” anime.

Nadeshiko was the subject of some of the manga’s best nude scenes, and such content for her was hardly a rarity either. Yet ARMS inexplicably failed to get her naked in any of the anime’s 10 episodes. With this OVA they have an opportunity to rectify the situation a bit.

 

Shinmai Maou no Testament vol.06 (August 28th)

 

Both episodes 11 and 12 feature censored nude scenes, so it should be fun to see how those change on BD. The group scene in the final episode actually felt pretty tame after Yuki and Maria barged in, which makes me think that they saved the good parts for an extended scene.

 

Triage X vol.03 (August 28th)

 

This will probably end up being the least interesting Triage X blu-ray for ecchi fans. There’s no onsen scene, and the only potential nudity we can expect will be a partial nipple when a girl in a playboy bunny type outfit sneaks the bad guys a peak.

There’s also a wet-shirt scene in episode five that logically should show nipples, but it’s fairly doubtful considering that this same scene was oddly non-nude in the manga. At least so far, the Triage X anime has not taken liberties, so I’m not expecting them to add wet-shirt nips here.

 

Mujaki no Rakuen OVA 2

 

The Mujaki no Rakuen manga is an extreme lolicon fantasy that perhaps goes beyond the limits of good taste, which is also part of its charm. Many fans were excited for the OVA adaptation this time last year, only to be met with crushing disappointment. The 2014 version had shoddy, hentai level animation and lacked a single unambiguous nipple sighting, despite the fact that the manga finds a way to get nipples into almost every chapter.

The original creator of this series is famed hentai author URAN, and she was none too pleased with the first anime effort with good reason.

Thankfully, we’ll be treated to a reboot OVA of this series that will help us forget just how worthless the first one was. I can’t say for sure if they will fix the ‘no nudity’ mistake, but at the very least the animation and artwork seem to be vastly improved.
