This anime is based on the eroge of the same name created by Navel, though interestingly Shuffle’s manga version actually debuted a month before the game did. It’s worth noting that the manga is non-nude. The game is pornographic, and even has a fully uncensored / explicit version available.

One of the perks of popularity in this business is that you can expect plenty of spinoffs. Since Muv-Luv is an eroge (albeit one with very strong storytelling), most of the spinoffs have included nudity.

It is a rare thing, to be emotionally impacted by a nudey anime. I actually teared up a bit and had to reach for a second tissue. Well done, asread.
Through two volumes there is a decent amount of nudity, though nowhere near as much as TNK’s anime version ended up with.
It’s been a busy week for ecchi. Interestingly, there isn’t a single anime BD release, new or old, from Dec. 28th all the way to January 8th. Here’s a quick look at the notable blu-ray releases from the past week or so.
Rie Kugimiya is no stranger to ecchi, (really just about all the top seiyuu have worked in the gutter plenty), but this was her only time in a nude ecchi series where she played her patented tsundere leading role. Aya Hirano also co-stars during a time period when both of these actresses were in the prime of their careers.
Other than the sure to be godlike Maken-ki Two, no other 2014 ecchi series has me more excited than Seikoku no Ryuu Kishi, alternatively known as Dragonar Academy.
The year 2013 was top heavy for the ecchi genre, with a few great offerings that will be remembered for years to come compared to relatively few low budget throwaway ecchi series.
