Prison School parades in with a censorship party!
The (in)famous manga Prison School has finally been adapted into an anime, however the reaction from the fanbase was mixed. Some were happy for the show to finally get the anime it deserves while others, myself included, were concerned about the studio adapting the anime, J.C Staff. However, with an abundance of censorship and a key focus on service, maybe that concern was misplaced?
Episode 1
The episode kicks off with one of the main attractions from the manga, Meiko.
The red filter can get annoying but it suits the tone.
Few shots from the OP.
On to the meat of the episode. 2 and a half minutes into the episode, we are met with our first mysterious beam of light.
Censorship so early and so prominent can only be a good sign I feel.
Next, onsen time.
What would an onsen scene be without some convenient censorship?
All that censorship, and from J.C Staff no less. This is stuff of wonders.
After the boys are caught, they are publicly shamed and thrown into prison.
Best girl appears.
Shots from the ED.
Looks like J.C Staff are really changing their game plan up this season. With Shimoneta airing as well, they seem to be taking a huge hands on approach when it comes to ecchi. With multiple blatant censorship shots and a huge focus spent on Meiko and the other girls, it can only bring positives out of what we’ve seen…hopefully.
The last time this sort of show happened was Cross Ange. Cross Ange basically had what we had here but just gave all the characters barbie anatomy on the BDs. Just like J.C Staff, Sunrise has done nudity before but chose to exclude nipples for whatever purpose they saw fit. Due to the heavy nature of the manga and how explicit Prison School is, it would be a major disappointment if nothing was changed on the BD. All we can do at this time is hope.
