Ecchi blu-ray release dates for February 2016

Maybe the greatest ecchi season ever, the 2015 summer season, releases its final volumes this month.

 

February 17th:

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou vol.06

February 24th:

Valkyrie Drive vol.03
Prison School vol.06

February 26th:

To Love-Ru Darkness 2nd vol.07
Shinmai Maou no Testament Burst vol.03

 

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou vol.06 (February 17th)

 

It’s worth noting that the Nico Nico airing stopped at episode 11, so any redraws for nipples in episode 12 will end up a surprise. I’m guessing we’ll get some nipple service for Kii the dryad to go with the previously revealed service for Zombina in episode 11.

 

Valkyrie Drive vol.03 (February 24th)

 

The previous volume had Meifon and Torino on the cover, but the special was all about Charlotte.  It’s pretty much anyone’s guess who we might see in the third special.

 

Prison School vol.06 (February 24th)

 

This series had previously been uncensored on Nico Nico, so there shouldn’t be anything new here.  That said, the manga had a notable nude scene when the girls are defeated and stripped down by their new captors, but it seemed like the TV anime version ran out of time and had to skip past it.

I doubt anything changes, but it would be nice if they found an extra 30 seconds for this scene on the blu-ray version.

Prison School will have a follow up OVA on March 4th.

 

To Love-Ru Darkness 2nd vol.07 (February 26th)

 

This is the final volume of To Love-Ru Darkness 2nd . Yami’s rampage continues, and Rito finally steps up like a man.  We’ll also see if To Love-Ru uncensors loli-lala.  Here’s hoping.

While sales of season two are basically half of season one, they are still strong enough to justify another season down the road.  Though at the current pace, we probably won’t see Darkness 3rd until 2018.

Until then, we can look forward to To Love-Ru Darkness’  eighth OVA on July 4th, and the series’ ninth OVA on December 2nd.
