Thoughts on the anime
Definitely a unique anime. Despite being based on a franchise of adult games, among them a sexually explicit eroge, the original anime only hinted at sex and was completely without nudity. There wasn’t even any real fanservice until the first cour of the series was nearly over.
Instead, the series focuses on action and story. Despite the cute characters and the PG-rated sexuality, the violence level is almost at Berserk levels, with bad guys getting cut to peices or even cleaved in half right down the middle. I guess this kind of makes some sense, since the original game was a tactical battle RPG kind of in the same mold as games like Final Fantasy Tactics or Tactics Ogre .
The story has a big, trippy twist near the end that helped make the final episodes interesting.
Of course, this wouldn’t have been FC material normally. Thankfully, a 3 part OVA upped the production values and service massively, putting this anime into fringe territory.
The main series was animated by Oriental Light and Magic, a company that is most famous for animating Pokemon .

Thoughts on the fanservice video
Kind of a so-so video, but it was nice doing something different for a change.
The art was so good that I don’t regret making it too much, though this is by far the least amount of nudity I’ve had in a project yet.
When I put this anime in a project poll many months ago, I hadn’t charted this show. I was assuming there would be four or five nude scenes instead of two. Had I charted, especially when seeing how sparse the non-nude service was, I probably wouldn’t have submitted this anime in a poll for its own project. But whatever, it didn’t take long to make and was a mostly enjoyable anime experience.

Favorite Character
This is one of the rare times this question has a slam dunk answer: Karura. It is so rare, especially in a nude-ecchi anime, that one character can be the most badass, the sexiest, the most down to earth, and the most likable.
Kurara is sexy in the kind of way that Minene was from Mirai Nikki . She’s a bit coarse , but earns major points for intangible sex appeal and personality. The kind of character that is really easy to like.
Kurara is voiced by Atsuko Tanaka, who is no stranger to the sexy-mature archetype or likable characters.
