Cross Ange hits the series halfway point with a bundle of birthday suits. But will it amount to anything on BD?

This series has given ImoCho vibes from the start, but the sheer sexual nature of this anime coupled with Sunrise’s past history with nudity gave me a sense of optimism. Unfortunately, the first BD volume proved the ImoCho fears true, refraining from nudity and even committing misleading false-positive censorship the same way ImoCho once infamously did.
That doesn’t mean that they won’t go for nudity later, but I would say that the odds of it happening are greatly diminished now. For that reason, I’m halting coverage of this anime for now. If a future BD reveals nude content, I’ll pick up the second cour for weekly coverage at that time.
