It’s time to seek the wisdom of the crowds to determine which ecchi anime from the Summer 2015 season won the most hearts and loins.
The Nominees:
To Love-Ru Darkness 2nd
Darkness 2nd is the long awaited sequel season to 2012’s ecchi masterpiece To Love-Ru Darkness . This series still has an hour long special left to go and it is sure to be amazing.
Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou
Monsters—they’re real, and they want to date us! Unlike most nude-ecchi series that rely on simple censorship, Monster Musume is built around a non-censored broadcast which redraws for nudity on BD.
Prison School
After being busted for a semi-failed attempt at peeping in the girls bath at an all-female academy, the five boys involved are “arrested” and receive an ultimatum: either stay a month in the school’s Prison Block or be expelled. This anime is based on a hit manga, but it’s also known for snapping JC Staff’s long standing non-nude streak.
Okusama ga Seito Kaichou!
Izumi Hayato is running to be student council president. Little could he have known that he’d be beaten out of nowhere by a strange (and well endowed) girl who promises her classmates ‘liberalization of love’ while flinging condoms at them. Things take a stranger turn when the two become an arranged marriage couple, not that either of them seem to be complaining.
Shimoneta: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn’t Exist
Based on a non-nude manga and animated by JC Staff (who prior to this season hadn’t done nudity in almost 12 years!) Shimoneta represented one of the most surprising cases of anime nudity in recent memory.
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei! Herz!
It’s extremely doubtful that the BDs will add nipples, but the Summer released OVA for this franchise kinda sorta showed some, and given this series’ massive popularity among lolicon that probably makes it worth nominating.
Time to vote!
There’s no repeated voting, however if you want you can vote for multiple subjects per poll. Keep in mind that the more you vote, the more watered down your votes will be. So if you feel very strongly about one candidate you should probably just vote for that one thing. Whereas if you are split between two or three choices, you can vote for them all as a way of casting a ‘tie’ vote. You can also change your vote(s) at any time.
These awards aren’t meant to address mainstream shows from the Summer 2015 season at large, but rather for the purely dedicated ecchi series of the Summer 2015 season. No Overlord, Gansta, etc. Voting for ‘best anime’ really just means ‘best hardcore ecchi anime’.
