Despite some convincing censorship trolling, Absolute Duo failed to deliver in volumes four and five.
Of course, it’s not exactly a huge heartbreak given that the source is non-nude and 8-bit has mostly been meek about nudity in the past. Still, this was a little surprising given that the series had shown a nipple earlier on, and that these latest scenes were so unambiguously suggestive. Oh well.
It’s always a bummer when a good ecchi series doesn’t sell as much as it deserved, but on the flipside it feels a bit gratifying when a super generic and tame ecchi series fails to gain traction. That’s not to say that Duo was a bad anime, but it’s not the kind of show that would leave a lasting impression or do anything for the perv contingent.
