S-Rank Monster No Behemoth Dakedo, Neko To Machigawarete Erufu Musume No Kishi, or Beheneko for short, is probably our most site-worthy series this season. It’s a simple premise of a knight-become-cat that finds himself the companion (pet) of a well endowed blonde elf. Normally I write a decent amount for the series I cover, but time will be limited until the summer (where hopefully we’ll get a good broadcast), so I won’t write as much as I normally would.
Episode 01:
Our protagonist realizes he’s been reincarnated as a “behemoth” that can use powerful skills.
Our elf is named Aria, and she’s as well-mannered and warm as most elves in fantasy fiction. But clearly, our author has other physical traits he’d like to highlight given her outfit.
Aria saves the protagonist (soon to be named Tama). This, and his current status of being a cat compels Tama to call Aria master and endeavor to protect her, as she is quite naive.
Credit for this stitch is given to ScissorMeTimbers.
Aria has a particular manner which she behaves around Tama, and I’m unsure how seriously the author is in writing her this way. Whether this is setting up for Tama’s reversion to his human form or not, I guess depends on that.
Tama defended Aria from a guy that clearly had less than noble intentions when he invited her to his party. Aria agrees to duel the man to protect Tama (who had attacked him to defend her), on the condition that if she loses, she’ll become his wife. Tama reveals his power to Aria to properly defend her, something he wanted to avoid.
 Episode 02:
We get introduced to a new girl, Vulcan, and a typical smattering of lewdness.
Aria requests armor be made for Vulcan. It just so turns out that Vulcan is looking for party members as well, and Aria gladly joins.
Combat and bathing go hand in hand, especially when the series actually delivers. In this case, the monsters getting “slime” all over Aria gives us the perfect excuse for both of them to bathe.Â
Aria makes it to C-rank at the end of the episode.
Episode 03:
Aria hears news of demons kidnapping people from a nearby town, and Aria joins the cause for little other reason than it being the right thing to do. Aria is impressed with the fighting prowess of her new party members as well.
Not really much to say here – a bath scene with girls is never something to be called into question. One thing I haven’t mentioned yet is that Vulcan is starting to feel much the same way as Aria, meaning they are now both attracted to Tama.
Interesting little bit here – it’s obvious they drew a nipple here as indicated on the blurry bottom frame, but the episode only shows the above frame, where it’s obviously out of frame. Why they did this, I don’t know. I would say they might change this on the Blu-Ray release but I’m not sure if any changes are planned.
Aria is hit with a poisoned dagger. The only antidote requires the eye of an Earth Dragon. Realizing that the only way Aria can be saved is through his intervention, Tama flies off by himself to hunt one down. This is the end of Episode 03. I’m not sure when I’ll have the next several episodes out, but I’m hoping to start the post when Episode 6 is broadcasted in a few weeks. I’m also hoping to pick something up during the Summer.
