Nude service shows up in a ‘big’ way.
Episode five opens with a group bath scene that has almost every girl in the show being involved. The nudity was mostly expected, but the extent of the boob play was a bit of a shocker. It seems like almost everybody has their boobs played with, and it even appears there may have been some nipple flicking.
To the producers of To Love-Ru, pay close attention, this is how it’s done:
We already know this censorship is legit thanks to the nude extras in the Big Order OVA, but it’s still fun to spot half-assed censorship all the same:
It was pretty cool seeing the service instantly jump from a standstill to overdrive. But that wouldn’t be the only shocking development in this episode.
Yup, pretty much out of nowhere we find out that MC-kun and his ailing sister are actually established lovers. It is mentioned that they aren’t ‘true’ siblings moments before their intimate sessions begin, yet they still have the same ‘father’ and refer to each other as brother and sister. Not to mention, little Sakura is pretty young. I really hope you are watching this, Mr. Atsushi Ootsuki.
Maybe anime and the internet have twisted me, but I loved this scene. I always like it when an anime makes me pick my jaw up off the floor.
Lastly, there is a bit of a date scene between Rin and Eiji that begins with some cute moments and ends with Rin slicing off Eiji’s hand and escaping to join the enemy. Good stuff.
I don’t even care that the white haired Yoshitsune Hiiragi’s special power is broken strong and will likely lead to the story getting even more preposterous down the road. Silliness or not this was a pretty good episode all around, and the service was epic as well.
