Grisaia no Rakuen – Episode 5-6 Fanservice Review

Grisaia no Rakuen making some obvious steps to focus on its story and is clearly diverging away from the service, akin to Kajitsu.

I give the staff credit for sticking in these pieces of service. While they are comical and no changes will happen on BD, its still nice to see.

Episode 6

Very minimal service this episode sadly, the episode instead opted for a mass murder of middle-school girls cause fuck it, we need extreme drama right?

Could see this from a mile away but the service is dying out. Its not necessarily frustrating or anything really, we got to know this format with Kajitsu and Grisaia is known to be very story-heavy for an eroge. The instances of service we got were something that happened far too quickly or is done for comedic effect (see sweet bean jelly fellatio above).

As for the actual story itself….meh. I find it funny that as soon as Yuuji isn’t involved with what is happening on-screen, it becomes amazingly dull. Even when 3 girls were being brutally murdered Higurashi style, it was just…boring. Its a shame that the show is reliant on Yuuji cause I can see the potential there. The writers and director are capable of producing good content, we saw this earlier on in the show with Yuuji’s backstory, but at the moment, they are just not living up to that quality sadly.

Also, sorry for the sporadic updates, I’ve had college exams and such but they are done now so woot. I will have a post up on Knights of Sidonia S2 really soon. I’m on episode 3 (I think) and so far, there has only been one scene that I could really call a “service” scene, but hey, there could be more for me in store.
