Grisaia no Rakuen – Episode 7-8 Fanservice Review

No service of note in episode 7 however, episode 8 actually offers some actual censored boobs that needs…uncensoring.

Episode 7

As I said, nothing really of note. A panty shot here, a thigh shot there. Just the usual service we were getting in the previous episodes.

J.B made a reappearance with this little panning shot. Not sure how she does it, but every pose she pulls, she always looks damn sexy.

Episode 8

I’m not a religious man. However, this episode questioned my belief as there as has to be a god. Not only did we get some action, but damn it couldn’t have happened to a better girl.

The rest of the episode was focused on the plot. Funny thing though, whenever Makina fired her sniper, the recoil would make her skirt fly up. But hey, I have seen worse anime physics.

Lets just talk about Episode 8 for a minute here. That scene with Millie was not only amazing, but surprising. I accepted the fact that they were just doing little teasing here and there for their service with the main selling point being the BD specials. But then BAM, Grisaia just throws a curve ball out of left field and strikes a home run (Sorry, I have been watching a lot of Diamond no Ace). The scene didn’t last long, I think it was under a minute but geez, the eroticness of it all was just fantastic. The main thing that disappointed me about the first half of the show with Yuuji’s background was the fact that Millie got jack shit service, despite having a sex scene in the VN. Grisaia has really redeemed themselves in my book.

This is the part where I talk about the story and stuff. To be honest, I don’t have much to say. If anything, Grisaia has just been like a popcorn flick more than anything recently. Nothing really to hold in high regard but not especially awful either, its just finding this medium that it is comfortable with rather than trying to do some interesting stuff like the first half did. It could just be my bias coming into play here but Grisaia has really dropped the ball since around episode 4 and is just kinda looking at said ball with a nonchalant attitude of “Meh, the thing looks comfortable on the ground and I did a great job of holding it up until now, I don’t need to touch it.”.
