It’s not often you see this much effort put into an eroge adaptation. And for the most part, that effort pays off.

Thoughts on the anime
This anime seemed kind of jumbled and couldn’t decide whether it wanted to be serious or playful, erotic or disturbing, etc. So I’m not really sure what to think of it in terms of being an anime.
Did this anime have some positives? Absolutely. The animation and art quality were well done. There was a lot of skill in the cinematic qualities of this anime. Maybe I didn’t care about the characters a ton, but there were still some poignant moments. The specials were very sexy. And the episodes themselves had a relatively high amount of nudity.
The plot was “who cares” for the most part, though I did really like the ending.
Overall, this slickly produced eroge adaptation represented an exciting step forward for 8 bit, a company that had previously been averse to showing nipples openly without partial obstruction. Modesty has no place in the Grisaia series, thankfully.
Behind all that obstruction in 8 bits’ previous anime were some well drawn nipples. It was awesome to see 8 bit’s nipple drawing prowess finally put on full display. Hopefully the next nudey anime 8 bit does is similarly without shame.

Favorite Character
For season one, I picked Amane. For season two, I’ll change my vote to Kazuki. I mean, who else would wear a prosthetic hand for no reason other than to screw with the audience?
