Welcome back to the final Inuhiro review for episodes 11 and 12. We have finally arrived at the last episodes of the long awaited ecchi anime Inu ni Nattara Suki na Hito ni Hirowareta. In these two episodes we finally get the reveal behind why Pochita was turned into a dog and how he can change back into a human, if he even wants too. The main plot is progressed by the labcoat girl finally revealed as Inari Sakihira, and she is the reasoning behind why Pochita was turned into a dog due to her scientific experiments. There is a school culture festival going on and in order to beat Tsukishiro and her bunny girl cafe, they make the dogs in their dog cafe lick their patrons, so feet lovers rejoice. After this and we get the reveal from Inari, Pochita decides that he won’t listen to Inari and then leaves, thus leading to a cliff-hanger-esque ending and a sequence that concludes with all three main girls topless. If you’re following along in the manga, the chapters are 16-17 and the very end sequence is adapted from chapter 23.5.
Episode 11:
Pochita remembers his main goal.
The Tsukishiro rabbit cafe is taking their customers.
Tsukishiro gets KO’d.
Pochita’s technique is not very effective.
Now here I’d like to acknowledge that they completely removed two whole characters from the show, both Inari’s lackeys, and I think I understand why, if you see the rest of this episode and episode 12, they alter the story from the manga slightly such as removing the two new characters and not showing what happens after the kiss with Inukai in order to make it seem like the anime could end right here in case they don’t get greenlit for a season 2.
Episode 12:
I’m so glad they kept this face in the anime, looks like something straight out of Higurashi.
Inari explaining that he must ingest the bodily fluids of a girl in order for Pochita to turn back,
Pochita leaves deciding he’s not gonna listen to her because he does not want to take away her first kiss.
The color palette and direction in this section is really nice.
Even though he didn’t want to kiss her, she kisses him. We later see that Pochita did not turn back into a human from this though. This isn’t explained in the anime but in the manga, it’s explained that you must have adrenaline flowing as well as ingesting the saliva in order for Pochita to turn, but they didn’t explain it because it’s the end of the season and they might not get a season 2 so adding this additional detail could just confuse the watcher even more.
This whole sequence was adapted from 23.5 but was changed a bit as there was extremely important parts of the manga that happen right before this chapter.
Really nice character cards for each main girl, I really liked these additional details in the final ending.
Inuhiro Episode 11-12 collection
Overall, these two episodes may have left anime only watchers confused because they tried to wrap it up but may have left more questions than answers. I really like Inari and I’m glad that they didn’t end the season without introducing her, but removing her two subordinates is really confusing because they become pretty important figures in chapters in the future so if a season 2 is to be made, they will need to be reintroduced in an anime only way. I am sure they removed these characters because if there is no season 2, introducing two new characters in the final episode without any build-up such as Inari had, would be a dumb choice. The final sequence adapted from chapter 23.5 is nice and at least we got some sauce from the final episode. I have seen lots of criticism and praise for the anime, and I’m glad that people are talking about the anime no matter if it’s negative or positive. My overall thoughts on the season was that I was happy with how it was done, while I agree it could have been better, I can’t ignore the fact that the anime felt like it was made with thought put into it and not just a cheap ecchi show. The ecchi moments were not the most deep but when I read the manga I didn’t feel as if they were in that either so I wasn’t surprised by this aspect. I implore you to read the manga from chapter 18 onwards, as the story and manga becomes really good, and it is worth the read. Thank you for following my first reviewed series, it was a big one to start with, so I do apologise for any mistakes or anything I missed but I hope you enjoyed the ride!
