Number one
The Meikyuu specials are pretty spicy – there isn’t really any plot at all, both essentially being lengthy sex scenes, far longer and more detailed than anything we saw during the TV broadcast. This means there really isn’t much to say throughout these reviews, though I will occasionally make a comment for one reason or another.
Remember that if you see a duplicate webm, the second is the version with audio enabled – make sure to unmute them. I think this will be the standard for any show I cover from this point on that has sex.
Some panning shots simply aren’t capable of being made stitches. There’s a lot of late movement on some of them, preventing the possibility.
From this point on, Michio occasionally gets the hair-covering-eyes hentai protagonist treatment.
Roxanne’s “surprised” face might seem jarring, but the manga artist will depict Roxanne in such a way on occasion. I suppose including this in the anime is a way to stay faithful to his vision.
I went back and forth on whether or not to include this stitch, because it just seems a bit odd leaving it as is. Just a few frames after this, Michio’s arms reach out for Roxanne’s melons.
Just like Sherry in episode 12, we have a very fast panning shot with the initial frames blurred.
And that’s about it for the “plot.” Whatever relevance or impact this has on the plot is probably irrelevant – insert this scene anywhere post episode 4 and pre-Sherry and it would fit. Of course, that doesn’t matter to anyone here.
Both fanservice specials were released late last year along with the Blu Rays. I held off on reviewing both for two reasons: I wanted to save them for in between seasons as a sort of filler, but the bigger reason is that I’m honestly a bit disappointed that Sherry was in neither of these. I love Roxanne, but she had plenty of screen time, and Sherry had comparably much less service and only one sex scene. I really struggle to believe that anyone involved in the production thought this was for the best, and I’m honestly a bit suspicious about Sherry’s presence in the anime as a whole. Is it possible that her presence was decided late in the production? If that were the case, then inserting her into the Specials wouldn’t have been possible because they were probably animating them already, but figured they may just be able to fit her into the last few episodes. Perhaps the decision to visually show the other members of the harem and the inclusion of Sherry was decided when Kadokawa and anyone else involved made the call that there wouldn’t be a season 2. Call me crazy, but I think it’s at least plausible.
Regardless, there is still one more special to cover, and I don’t know when I’ll get to it. It’ll happen eventually, but until then I’ve got about 11 weeks to cover until next season begins. Hopefully, it will be something that will not have its broadcast cut short. The rest of the year seems like it will have at least one good anime with some ecchi
