Double digits – Double D’s, soon to be joined by Double A’s
As our episode count reaches the double digits, and we move ever closer to the end of the series, we have two episodes of setup for what (I’m hoping) is a good sendoff.
Our episode begins with more dungeon crawling, with a remark from Roxanne that they’ve collected quite a few rabbit pelts to this point.
Rabbit pelts are coveted by clothing stores, as they apparently make good material for cold weather clothing. Roxanne speaks with a clothing store merchant that will purchase them, but only in bulk.
Roxanne’s cooking skills are put on display here as she cooks up a finely seasoned meal using the rabbit meat they acquired earlier.
Michio meets another adventurer who is about to face the floor boss. Every death flag imaginable is raised – he is not able to afford any kind of assistance via slaves or other party members, he’s just recently increased his level so he’s now emboldened, and he feels lucky today.
The adventurer from earlier is presumed dead after Michio finds his equipment. This leads Michio to a bit of an existential crisis – his fear of losing his own life or Roxanne’s is exacerbated seeing this man lose his own in such a manner.
The above (anime) sex scene is mostly original, and features arguably the most explicit angle of sex we’ve seen so far, or at least the most explicit since episode 04. The above manga page is the scene in its entirety. Add another oddity to the list of “some scenes reduced or removed, others given some degree of expansion” that seems to grow episode by episode.
Not much to say really. Michio is feeling anxious given what he’s seen. He doesn’t want to worry Roxanne, but she senses something is off and invites Michio to ease his anxiety in her bosom – an invitation he gladly accepts.
Michio and Roxanne arrive with 300 pelts. It would take time to count them all, so Michio wanders around the store to pass time.
Michio grabs two camisoles for Roxanne. Two is a convenient number, soon to be relevant.
Not a big fan of the variety of closeups this scene had on Michio, so I did my best to cut out the more egregious segments that focused on him. Also, I’d have done manga comparisons with this scene, but the provider site I grab them from was down for maintenance.
With part of Roxanne’s head cut off, you may be wondering why I cut part of this stitch. However, Roxanne starts to move her head exactly after the last frame I used to stitch this, not allowing for a full stitch.
The last rabbit killed drops a Skill Crystal. This is the final factor in Michio’s decision to go from considering the addition of a new slave, to actually acquiring one. Next episode will finally have the appearance of our second girl.
At the start of this season, I believed the series would stop at the exact moment Sherry appears. I couldn’t be more glad to be wrong, nor could I be more glad that they’ve given themselves enough time to have a sex scene with Sherry to close out the season, if they choose to. I sincerely hope they don’t cut it, as going this far just to pussy out would very much upset everyone that’s watched to this point.
Sherry, at least initially, is very timid and adorable. We should see this reflected in these last two episodes, as there are a number of sequences demonstrating this. Next episode (probably) won’t have any sex or nudity. However, episode 12 almost certainly will. That will probably be the best episode of the entire series, and if you were here from the beginning I think this might just be the payoff you all were looking for, even those who have denigrated it. It’ll be something to see for certain, I guarantee it.
