More Vermeil
This episode picks up with Vermeil and Alto being “invited” to the student council. More like they are forced to join so that Vermeil can be kept under surveillance until further notice.
This doesn’t seem to be the most trustworthy smile. Almost as if Elena is hiding an ulterior motive and allowing the two protagonists to enter their circle as a means to an end. Time will tell on that suspicion.
In the next scene Alto and Vermeil begin their usual bedtime ritual while discussing their concerns.
The implication here is that they had sex. But for now its just used as a comedic device rather than being made explicitly clear. Hopefully that can happen before the end of the season.
The following day Alto feels very refreshed, and confident, after his mana exchange with Vermeil. He then commits the commonplace ecchi trope of stumbling inside of a female changing room. To the delight of the viewing audience. Finally we get to see Chris in her undergarments, and I guess the other two are hot too.
It’s obvious that these characters are up to no good here as they appear to be major antagonists. Their motives have yet to be fully unveiled however.
This is really the only hint of Vermeil’s backstory. It would seem she and Alto are linked together by this past event based on him having a dream about her.
if I were a delusional man I’d think these conveniently placed books would be removed in the blu ray release. But we should know better than that.
It wouldn’t be a Kinsou no Vermeil episode without a suggestive ecchi scene. Alto continues to be the luckiest MC of the season.
There’s only a few weeks left in the season remaining, so I’m curious how this can wrap itself up in a way that isn’t dissatisfying for viewers. The manga is still ongoing, so it’ll have to be a cliffhanger of some sort, but you’d at least hope for some sort of milestone reached in the relationship of Vermeil and Alto.
We also haven’t gotten a beach vacation episode yet, and you know no ecchi is complete without such an excuse for shameless fanservice, so one would hope that is on the horizon.
