Episode 07:
All about Akane.
I skipped this episode last week only because there was such a lack of any service that it would be hard to justify making it a full post. I like Akane quite a bit actually, so it was a shame. Anyway, here’s the spiciest of the service from episode 7.
This was about the farthest I could get with the stitch. The best bits are on display here so I decided to throw it in – and I don’t always do that. I think with enough effort I may have been able to get the whole thing, but something about this series makes doing stitches an extreme pain in the ass. I’m pretty sure it’s the shifting backgrounds giving my software a fit, but I don’t know for sure.
Something I noticed with the manga panel is how you can see some suspicious bumps on Akane’s tits, almost like he drew nipple bumps just to toss some little extra service for the viewers without going full out on nipples.
I know Akane’s face looks strange here – the color in particular. This is because the scene transitions from the cafe to the typical bright background as soon often to this point.
As I said before, this is a heavily Akane focused episode. If you like her as much as I do, I’d watch the episode just to learn more about her. The long and short of the story is that Akane was prepared to return home to her family given her circumstances – most of which are explored through the episode, as are the circumstances of her upbringing. Eventually, the situation is resolved and Akane is able to stay at the Cafe, and she has become the latest of the girls to grow attracted to Hayato.
Episode 08:
Probably the most packed episode for service yet. Upon reaching the beach scene, there’s a smattering of sporadic bikini shots of random girls, so if that part seems like a chaotic mess of images, that’s why – what you’re seeing is the chronological order of service shots.
Akane is now openly flirting with Hayato in front of the other girls, such is the attraction she has developed for him. Afterwards, we get a brief scene with Akane speaking with her bandmates about not breaking up with the band after all (this has to do with events from the previous episode which I did not fully explain, watch that if you want the full story).
Hayato proposes setting up a beach bar to take advantage of the summer. Ouka emerges wearing the outfit above wanting it to be the official beach bar uniform. Also, her legs are a bit too long in the manga panel above, which I just now noticed.
As far as I know, this Ouka ass shot wasn’t in the anime, because I don’t think I missed it. I put it in here because why not? There have definitely been some anime originals so far, there was bound to be a panel here and there that wasn’t adapted for whatever reason.
Riho gets jealous and comes back wearing a bikini, trying to one-up Ouka for Hayato’s attention.
Shiragiku managed to get drunk off the wet wipes and joins in on the fun. Riho remains jealous and continues to demand Hayato’s attention even with Shiragiku’s overwhelming presence.
Another ass shot, this time courtesy of Shiragiku. Similar to Ouka, I don’t think this was in the anime, so I just picked in a good time to throw it in. Akane’s “straight man” reaction above demonstrates the potential of her character. There is almost always the “only sane person” character in a comedy.
This glimpse of a panty shot lasts for exactly one frame. Strangely, it’s not made clear who this is supposed to be. The anime shows Shiragiku just before this shot, so it could be her. However, the manga panel below has Riho lifting her skirt in such a way that it appears more than a passing resemblance to the shot above. One thing to note though, is that it *is* the wind that is blowing the skirt up here, not a hand lifting it up, so maybe that’s wrong.
The group decides to take a photo, with the idea that it would make a good twitter header.
The beach bar segment is in full swing, and as mentioned before, so is the random cut-ins of fanservice clad girls.
Shiragiku was apparently too embarrassed to show as much skin as Ouka was when she first showed her outfit. The girl that’s always getting drunk and getting her tits out was too embarrassed to be in a full bikini, go figure. The oddity is even highlighted here when Hayato recalls the near-nude Shiragiku scene earlier in the episode.
The first thing you’ll notice here are the nipple bumps in the manga, then as you realize the anime doesn’t have them, disappointment.
Ami, the fitness girl she is, takes an immediate interest in the Christmas cake and asks if she can feel her abs. She accepts, though she is taken aback at the boldness of the question.
Riho gets jealous seeing Akane get some one on one time with Hayato. She did have a reason for it though, something about getting more iced coffee orders than they expected and how they might be made faster.
Riho collapses from the heat, and we get another glimpse at her past, but not much more is explored. Hayato says her health and safety is more important and that he was worried about her. After hearing that, Riho is overjoyed and takes maximum advantage of the situation, asking if Hayato could stay with her until she falls asleep.
Those two anime shots above close out the episode. This was definitely an eventful episode all things considered, at least for service. For story there wasn’t too much advanced, but that’s not a big deal for a series that is arguably slice of life/harem. Looking ahead, I don’t think next episode will be all that special, but there’s always a chance they mix chapters up to keep things interesting.
