We finally get to see what Everyday Life with Monster Girls looks like in animated form. And it looks gorgeous.
We see some blank boobs, but also some nipple bumps from Centorea and Suu, as well as a bra-less wet shirt scene. Blank boobs always concern me, but much less so in a PV where nudity is extremely uncommon. I also fail to see the point of Centorea’s bra-less wet shirt scene unless nipples are added later. The whole point of a wet shirt scene is to show us something underneath that shirt.
I’m not speaking ill of the original manga when I point out the following, which I feel is fairly obvious: it’s the tits that made the manga, and it’s the tits that will make or break the anime. It’s not like Monster Musume is the only monster girl manga out there. Far from it. But no other monster girl manga is anywhere near as fap-worthy. Hence the massive popularity.
It is more or less the same formula that made To Love-Ru such a big hit. Cute girls + terrific art + raging boner material + distinct characters + semi-novel concept = hit. There have been a lot of failed attempts at this formula, but the Monster Musume manga perfected it and the anime at least so far appears to be a beautified version of the manga.
Given Lerche’s past history (Majikoi, Unbreakable Machine Doll) it is highly unlikely that they would let us down here.
