More groping, a short shower scene and a somewhat gratuitous exercise scene
In this episode we learn some more about this world and how it functions, thankfully without some stupidly out of place exposition. Instead it was done while the girls where doing some light stretching, because why not. This was preceded by a short shower scene, although nothing much was shown.
We also get another self-grouping scene. It’s not as long or as excessive as the first, but it’s welcome all the same. What’s interesting is the first groping was done as to “summon the the agent of metal from my lungs to my fist” while the second one was done to “summon the fire phase from my heart to my first”. She then goes on to using flaming kicks to weaken the phantom. And we know groping her tits isn’t always necessary as she didn’t do it the first time we saw her. What this tells me is that KyoAni will use any excuse to have a groping scene each episode.
In terms of actual plot, our MC again decides not to go down the trite harem comedy route by refusing Ruru’s request to have Koito join their club. I’m certainly liking the fact that these girls aren’t falling over themselves to attract some bland protagonist. Ichijou decides to make himself useful by learning summoning magic. It doesn’t turn out too well as you’ll see, but it’s a start. The most important plot development was the groups acquisition of a device by Alayashiki. No doubt this will tie-in to the “certain incident” the synopsis describes.
