Thoughts
Once again, Galko-chan is another anime that’s not for everybody. It’s a comedy first and foremost. You either find it funny or you don’t. Also the color palette is not for everybody. It’s intentionally very garish since Galko-chan is supposed to be a kogal (Valley Girl) kind of girl. But the anime is not as garish as the manga is. Check out the Official Art section of the review to see the difference. Last but not least, a lot of the ecchi is verbal rather than visual. All in all, Galko-chan is a YMMV kind of show.
I still doubt that there will be nudity on the BDs but the signs, as faint as they may be, seem to be getting better for more ecchi in future episodes at least. From panty shots in the source material to more service-y shots in the OP to more risque official products. Here’s hoping for more fanservice in future episodes of Galko-chan at least…
