Akiba’s Trip: The animation fanservice review episode 5

You can apparently go super saiyan by taking off your clothes when playing Street Fighter.

Another episode with only a small amount of fanservice unfortunately but in this case I’ll forgive them simply because this is a videogame focused episode.

As you can guess this is a real place. Even has the claw machines that appear in the episode.

Acquire-chan’s episode cameo in the background. Every episode is like Where’s Waldo but with a cute anime girl instead.

Tamotsu starts training for fighting the Bugged Ones by playing strip Mahjong at an arcade in case he ever gets challenged by one in a Mahjong battle. He then sends Niwaka off to play the claw machines. With that said I have no idea the point of games like that in public since it’s a case of look but don’t touch. Pretty sure playing an arcade game and whipping your dick out while playing isn’t consider good arcade etiquette.

And in case you were wondering no there are no nipples on the picture when you zoom in as much as you can on the tiny image you see from a distance. Would have been a nice secret for them to throw in.

As he goes to leave he sees a Street Fighter 2 arcade cabinet and decides to play it. Also 10 yen is only like 9 cents currently. Japan has better prices for playing arcade games then the US.

After playing for a while a girl shows up and challenges him to a fight and wins. He then blames the machine for losing sort of like how people blame the controller being broken when they lose playing against someone (and you hope they don’t investigate and see that you did give them a broke controller).

I want to play a claw machine in which I can win a loli.

After meeting back up with Niwaka she gets capture by a claw and taken away. The girl from before appears mocking Tamotsu and he then receives a message on his phone about how his sister is theirs. He then assumes that girl has something to do with it only for her to disappear before he can do anything.

The others then get a message saying he must enter the Street Fighter 5 tournament tomorrow and win if he wants his sister back.

The winner of the tournament also gets to fight against the best player in the world who is the same girl that Tamotsu met earlier at the arcade and whom he assumes is the one behind Niwaka getting kidnapped and a Bugged One.

After Tamotsu admits to not being good at fighting games Latu says she created a fighting game training machine for him to use. So training montage time.

After training finishes the tournament starts.

His first opponent is against someone from the US.

He then loses the first match. I was kind of hoping that would have thrown him out of the tournament altogether and result in them having to find a different way of saving his sister. Whenever these things happen the main characters almost always win or in the case of tournaments in games you just get a gameover and have to restart because the story calls for them to win. It would have been unique having him lose right at the first match and put all their work to waste as he is disqualified right at the start. But that doesn’t remain the case since they end up having a loser’s round and he wins all his fights there which somehow gets him to the final match against the girl from before.

Tamatsu wins the first fight against her. Also this show has a lot of exposed bellies. So many anime girl bellies and not enough time to rub them all.

The girl wins the second match after others point out that she always loses the first match on purpose so that she can analyze her opponent and create a strategy against them to win.

She then begins to take her clothes off for the final round since its explained that apparently taking ones clothes off is a martial arts tactic that causes someone to fight better by purposely putting themselves into a corner and unlocking their full potential. Probably a load of shit but no one would complain about a girl stripping down so who cares.

So in response Tamotsu starts to remove his clothes as well so he can fight better.

A certain other group of people are happy over those developments.

After he begins to win she removes more of her clothing in order to get stronger even more.

Tamotsu does his own special attack by losing his underwear as a result.

Which then hits Matome in the face.

In the end he wins his match against her.

Matome smells his underwear. You will never have a girl happy at the chance to smell your used underwear.

The required lewdness of the episode.

Matome then decides to remove the girl’s hat so she can see if her hair is a different color proving that she is a Bugged One since she was suspicious since she didn’t take damage from stripping. Since her hair is normal that means she isn’t one and she had nothing to do with Niwaka getting kidnapped.

The true boss of the episode reveals himself and how the tournament and kidnapping was all a plan in an attempt to eliminate them so that they couldn’t interfere with the Bugged Ones plans to take over Akihabara anymore. They then solve the problem and beat the boss quick.

They then find Niwaka in a room where she was kept safe and playing videogames the whole time and wasn’t in danger.

She also doesn’t seem to be to bothered by the fact that Tamotsu’s dick is flopping around by just pointing out he has no pants on. You will never have a little sister so used to your nudity she doesn’t freak out.

So they see that she is safe and Tamotsu plays a game with her because playing games with your younger sister while not wearing pants is what true big brothers should do.

Not a lot of fanservice in this episode but I guess its not too surprising when you consider this episode involved Capcom and so they probably wanted to keep the stripping out because of that. Next episode looks like it will have another female episode boss so we should probably return to the normal stripping next episode since this one was sort of special because of the Street Fighter collaboration so that is why it was probably different. Even without the stripping it was still better than last week’s primarily because it involved something most people are familiar with and that is videogames rather than topics that only a niche few know about like radios. Kind of wish Arisa had entered the tournament as well and won by accident without even trying because that certainly would have fit in with the show for that to occur.

Kind of wonder why they didn’t use Dead or Alive instead of Street Fighter. With the new VR release of DOAX3 it would have made sense. Plus Keijo did a DOA collaboration by having costumes in the game and more recently Senran did as well. So anime collaborations seem to be common for DOA. I’m guessing they used Street Fighter though because it is a more serious fighting game or at least people take it more seriously. Don’t really hear about DOA tournaments as much as Street Fighter.
