Episode 03

Yuri time is a great way to start an episode…

Sleepover time…

Sleeping together in the same bed time…

Yuri time…  (Sanae can’t hold back any longer.)

French kissing time…

Shock.  And awe…

WTH?  How can Hanabi so no to yuri???  Poor Sanae…

But Sane really does love Hanabi…

Mugi’s first girl.  A senpai when he was younger…

A senpai who likes sex.  Must be nice…

Why did they make her undressing scene so bright?

Original stitch.  Way too bright.

Filtered by aikaflip.  Looks much better.  Nicely done.  Thanks!

Now Hanabi wants to explore the mystery of morning wood…

She touched the D…

No apology needed…

LOL.  Then get busy and break hers already…

Isn’t he a big young for the music teacher???

Best to keep an eye on that music teacher…

Thoughts

Overall, episode 03 had a little more fanservice but some of that was obscured by artistic touches.  Kuzu no Honkai likes to be artistic..  But the yuri time and the bad teacher twist at the end were nice.

Shame that yuri time wasn’t longer and wasn’t more ecchi.  That would have been nice.  Easy to root for Sanae but she seems doomed to heartbreak.  Shame that.  Hopefully she’ll get some yuri loving from Hanabi…

With characters this messed up, who knows what’s gonna happen next?  A Good End doesn’t seem very likely.  Maybe a Decent End is the best we can hope for?

Welp, I switched from Leopard Raws to Commie starting with episode 03.  I had to find a different video source for two stitches in episode 02 due to video corruption (video artifacts) which is a big no-no for me.  The good news is that I can now include caps with subs in my reviews.

What a tangled web Kuzu no Honkai weaves.

There is a whole lot of seinen going on…

It’s a love polygon.  Of unrequited love.  Every which direction.  Every which way…

Production values are high.  Nicely so.  Nice artwork, writing and direction.  Nothing comes across as too generic, especially the characters.  Multi-layered.  Complex.  With both positive and negative emotions.  Some nice dialogue too.  (Which is not included since I am using Leopard Raws for my reviews.)

Horny teenagers.  Full of hormones.  Who don’t like themselves very much.  And pine for a love that they can never have.  Yet are intelligent and thoughtful.  Even if they can’t control how they feel and act.

Definitely not an anime for everyone.  Especially if you don’t like angst and drama with your ecchi.  But if you’re an ecchi fan and you want to see see a little more “action” than most anime shows this season, you might want to check Kuzu no Honkai out.
