As usual, Blade and Soul relies on heavy doses of light fanservice- mostly gratuitous cleavage shots. Nothing too exciting, though more interesting events are just around the corner.

There was a pretty big uptick in PG-rated ass shots as well, particularly in the eighth episode.
Unless you count the darkening around Yu Ran and Jin Valel’s bare butts during a dark ritual in episode six, there was no censorship to speak of during this four episode stretch.
Episode twelve hit torrents today, and having watched it, it basically concludes the story of the series and very easily could have functioned as the final episode. However, a 13th episode will in fact air next week, and the trailer for said episode cryptically hints at it being fanservice oriented in nature.
Sometimes a series will hold off on fanservice until after the series climax. Infinite Stratos 2 was nearly non-nude before a big onsen scene at the end of episode twelve. A Dark Rabbit Has Seven Lives did something similar, and many series have set aside the final episode as a fanservice showcase.
Next week I’ll cover the remaining episodes with a report on how that 13th episode went.
It’s also worth mentioning that there is some nudity potential during the final episodes thanks to a bit of non-fanservice frontal censorship for Jin Varel. My hunch says it will remain censored on BD, but that forecast could change in a hurry depending on how far the 13th episode takes things. This show is slated for disc specials too, and fanservice heavy shows that add disc specials often add at least a little nudity to them.
I wouldn’t say nudity is likely from this anime, but suddenly there are some good signs.
Gonzo has not been afraid to do nudity in the past but they have also avoided it on numerous occasions when they could have done it. The decisions they make going forward will be interesting.
