The sixth episode of ImoCho has by far the most fanservice and censorship for this series so far. But why am I getting this feeling like we’re getting catfished again with fake censorship by Project No.9 like they did to us in Ro-Kyu-Bu!? The signs of censorship trolling are becoming harder to deny.
But first, here’s a look at the lower body (chastity belt?) lock and key censorship from this episode, of which there was quite a lot:
It’s interesting, in a lame sort of way, how this series went from freely showing the chastity belt early on (at least on the wide shots) to completely censoring even the slightest hint of it in these recent episodes. A chastity belt isn’t something that actually requires censorship, either. The previous anime by this same company, Ro-Kyu-Bu!, was also full of needless, trolling censorship on its TV broadcast run.
Around the middle part of the episode we are treated to a lengthy bath scene that is noticeably devoid of upper body censorship, and also (briefly) gives us blank boob shots.
There is some lower body censorship (of course there would be), but notice how the upper body shots always have Mitsuki in “defensive” positions. Meaning, she’s always got her arms perfectly placed to cover her chest at all times, even when getting in and out of the tub.
Maybe the ImoCho movie will have nudity, but I’m kinda doubting the anime will at this point. The persistent defensive use of arms over the chest area is a tell used by non-nude anime going back forever. Sure, there is room in there to add nipples around the edges, and some of the close up angles could be zoomed out, but if this show is going to have nipples, they made it about as difficult as possible to redraw for them. Shows that add nipples on BD use things like steam, blurry water, or foreground objects. They don’t have girls holding their arms over their boobs.
This is neither here nor there, but I thought this was a pretty nice soft service shot.
The credits roll a bit on the early side, and on the other end we are treated to a Metal Gear Solid spoof. The execution could have been a little better, but I still laughed. Especially when Yuuya alternated between lying on his belly and squatting in rapid succession before opening the drawer. And here I thought I was the only one who did that.
