The big story here is that, despite plenty of flirtations and even a bare ass, we never get to see Nadeshiko’s tits. Which isn’t just disappointing, it’s pretty damn surprising given how frequently her character was featured nude in the manga.
Otherwise, the fanservice gets off to a fast start, including nude scenes for Sakuya, Tamako and Suseri, as well as bare ass shots for Nadeshiko and Matsuri.
There is a fun gag where Tamako runs out onto the beach wearing one of Suseri’s bikini tops, but because Tamako’s breasts aren’t quite big enough to fill out Suseri’s massive bikini top, Tamako’s breasts end up flopping out all over the place. True to her character throughout the show, Tamako just doesn’t give a fuck about the exposure.
This then leads to some kind of ‘best breasts’ competition between Suseri and Tamako. Matsuri observes this and seems to point out that no such competition could be fair while tops are still being worn. A topless Tamako rips off Suseri’s top and the madness begins.
Shortly after this, we get a scene where Nadeshiko comes onto Shinichiro so blatantly that I figured she had to be some kind of ghostly impostor. But nope, real Nadeshiko, who puts her crotch right in Shinichiro’s face.
We also get to see Nadeshiko changing out of some garter strap lingerie that she apparently wears as part of her normal attire. Really a shame she never shows her boobs, this OVA teased her so well.
The second half of the episode focuses on some kind of ghost story on the island and while it was enjoyable, it’s low on service and without any nude scenes.
Aside from the crushing disappointment of this show squandering their very last opportunity to show Nadeshiko’s boobs in animated form, this was actually a fun OVA and was easily the most enjoyable episode in the series. The best way to end an anime is to leave the audience wanting just a little more, and going out on a high note with a bittersweet ending accomplished that goal.
