A pre-series OVA had nudity, yet until just recently it was yet to be seen if last Summer’s follow up TV series would do the same.
The final blu-ray released over half a year ago, and in fact the volume I watched today came out way back in October of last year. Despite some relatively good sales, the BDs of this show have been almost entirely ignored by raw providers.
Back in early 2013 there was a pre-series OVA which included a bathhouse scene with nudity that lasted the better part of a minute. Often times a series will go for nudity on OVA and then wimp out in the anime, would this series do the same?
Episode two missed an opportunity when a bathing scene made no significant changes. A brief shower scene in episode three however, delivered:
This anime is based on mangaka Seo Kouji’s biggest and best known work of the same name. Kouji is love/hate as a writer, but his art style is very good and he’s a bit unique in that he has so much mainstream appeal and yet still draws so many nude ecchi scenes into almost all of his manga.
His previous anime adaptations dropped the nudity, and though there is some in Kimi no Iru Machi it’s still far less than the service level of the manga. There might be another good scene in episode ten when the girls head to an onsen, and that will probably be it.
Still, it’s pretty cool that one of his TV anime adaptations finally did his manga justice by including at least a little of the nude service aspect.
