Ayumu thought his life might finally get back to normal, or as normal as it can be for a zombie. However, destiny has other plans for him.
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? is a Japanese light novel series by Shinichi Kimura, with illustrations by Kobuichi and Muririn. There are currently five different manga adaptations based on the universe of Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? being serialized. A 12-episode anime adaptation produced by Studio Deen aired in Japan from January 11, 2011 to March 31, 2011 on TV Saitama and other networks. A second season, titled Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? Of the Dead, aired in Japan from April 5, 2012 to June 7, 2012 on Tokyo MX and other networks. A couple Original Video Animation’s were also bundled with the BD/DVD Releases of both seasons.
Coming in at second in the poll is Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? Of the Dead with 284 Votes. At 10 Episodes and with a couple new faces showing up the show feels oddly-paced and rushed. There were certainly a lot of great moments: The Maid Cafe in the 4th Episode was great seeing Yuki and Sera in Maid Costumes was easily one of the series highlights. Lots of great moments with Taeko who is one of my favorites from this series. Unfortunately Saras once again barely has screen-time even the second to last episode which revolves around her mostly featured Nene. Kyoko also comes back near the end and easily owns the shit out of that episode. The ending of the season however is incredibly dull, there is a big foreshadowing scene which hints that there was still more to this story but I doubt we will get another season. The OVA (Episode 0) that was released shortly before the premiere is easily the highlight of this season with lots of great shots of the cast in swimsuits. One last thing in the final OVA produced there was actual drawn nudity for Haruna… despite the fact that Sera and Eu were in the same room… such a downgrade.
