In a particular school, there are girls who are secretly in training to become ninjas. Asuka, Katsuragi, Hibari, Ikaruga, and Yagyuu. This features their tumultuous school life as they pursue the path of the ninja!
Senran Kagura aired during Winter 2013, Adapted by Artland from a series of popular Video Games where Busty Kunoichi’s duke it out in hectic battles until they are left stark naked with nothing but their Birthday Suit… and Convenient Censorship to keep the Age Rating somewhat tame and I guess make profits. The plot is pretty basic, On one side you have the Hanzo Ninjas (The Protagonists), And on the other side you have the Hebijo Ninjas (The “Antagonists”). And after a little exposition the groundwork is laid out, So they can beat the clothes off each other… Aside from that there are couple of subplots strewn around which come full-circle by the end of the series. One thing that I found odd was just how dark some of these girls back-stories are, Mostly the Antagonists but still in an ecchi that seems kinda unnecessary.
I loved this show Artland blew away all my expectations with this one. It has some of the best Ecchi Fight Scenes I have seen. And overall a non-stop barrage of fanservice. As for the characters they are all very well designed and very pleasing on the eyes, Particularly Haruka and Yomi were my favorites. I desperately want a Second Season, Even More after watching the recent OVA. There are many entries in this franchise, So there is definitely material for it, but from what I’ve read BD Sales were pretty lousy. Changes in this Remake: The Original FC clocked in at around 35 Minutes and 11 Seconds, This new one stands at around 57 Minutes and 56 Seconds, One big issue in my older videos was how I would try to make videos as short as possible. And that was here in spades Cutting off important scenes, Speeding up clips, Removing much needed Context, add to that the fact that the quality was pretty awful in the original. The biggest change is definitely how I clipped the Fight Scenes. And the Specials which need time and context to make sense. One thing that pisses me off about this show is the fact that a couple episodes near the end feature credits rolling while stuff is going on. Most BD’s release Creditless Versions of these scenes but Senran Kagura didn’t and that was a big miss.
