Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm anime is adapted from an eroge made by sprite (The company that made Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate)… Similarities are obvious between these two anime adaptations… Atmosphere, Art, Characters all feels the same except the flying part… And we have another cat-like girl just like Michiru from KoiChoco…
AoKana is about a fantasy island where everyone can fly thanks to invention of shoes anti-gravity particles and a bunch of high schoolers in a Flying Circus club living there… In this island people don’t play normal sports like american football or baseball, instead they have Flying Circus which is a simplified combination of the two sports i mentioned(And maybe Puss in the corner)… The goal of Flying Circus is to fly from one point to another as fast as possible without being stopped by other side or stopping the opponent between two checkpoints… Hitting someone’s back and touching the next checkpoints first are the two ways to score points…

Asuka Kurashina
She is your typical hardworking,positive,energetic girl… And apparently is a Flying Circus genius…
Misaki Tobisawa
For some reason she speaks,acts and looks like cat sometimes… Gloomy and lazy at the mornings, reliable and easygoing other times…
Mashiro Arisaka
She is lesbian for Misaki and tsun-tsun for MC… She also claims to be a hardcore gamer…
Rika Ichinose
She is MCs neighbor… We dont know much about her yet, other than the fact that she has a tendency to get undressed next to open windows…
Then we have an ojou-sama (Reiko Satouin), Madoka Aoyagi, her brother Shion Aoyagi and a badass sensei(Aoi Kagami)
BATH SCENE
Classic “conveniently placed object” trick…
Asuka doesn’t give that vibe at first but she has a great body…
She also tends to fly in a certain posture which is quite funny and tempting at the same time…
Neighbor girl provided most service so far… She loves changing clothes in front of window for some unknown reason…
Reiko and Misaki are probably the most curvy characters… Boobs+Ass deadly combination, especially with those skinny flying suits…
Next is the cat girl of the series… Still don’t get sprite and their thing with having “almost catgirl” characters(at least go all the way and make them real catgirls) but she is hot so it doesn’t matter…
It’s hard not to ship these two… I love how Mashiro is almost glued to Misaki ALL THE TIME during these three episodes… She is also Misaki’s “slave” or so she says…
Some other side characters…Sensei and a random shy loli shopkeeper…
Couldn’t resist… Had to put this here… But don’t misunderstand, even though flying scenes has some CGI mixed in,they are good CGI… They get derpy like this rarely…

First Impressions
So far this anime is exactly what i expected it to be… It is a one cour advertisement for the VN… It promotes the art, characters, setting and plot of the Visual Novel but doesn’t show more than it needs to because it is a Visual Novel advertisement…
Don’t expect any nudity, any real character development or a memorable plot from the anime adaptation because they will probably save those for the people buying the Visual Novel…
Good thing is, Visual Novel’s english translation is almost done and i was waiting for it ever since i first heard about it’s existence… I will probably finish the Visual Novel as soon as possible and make a review for it too… If you want any real story, romance or fanservice we will probably only get glimpses of those until Visual Novel comes out in english… But seeing these fully animated is great and the best advertisement possible…
