Variety must the be spice for anime girls too as this months anime posters were once again a mix of sexy and cute. It’s been a trend for a long time now. With moe being mild and sexy being spicy. Different spices for different kinds of anime fans. Fortunately there is a little more spice in this month’s anime posters…
What’s up with the stragglers (aka posters not in a yande.re pool)? Turns out that several of the smaller magazines for anime posters like Animedia, Dengeki G’s, Newtype and MC☆Axis used to get yande.re pools on a regular basis but not lately. And this has been going on for a while. Yet somehow, they are still in business. But with a lot less anime posters. And on top of that, there are even a few small magazines that I’ve never heard of. Anyway, some of the straggler posters are rather fetching so I will try to look for straggler posters worth including when putting together the monthly posters post.
Due to some months having a large number of straggler posters, the straggler posters are now bookend-ended just like the Megami posters. Might miss a few this way but it can’t be helped. Also, all straggler posters are now lumped together. In the interest of time. And it better matches the links at the end of the post.
Starting with 2019, we are treating Megami as the benchmark for anime posters and including all of their posters in our monthly posters blog posts. And any other magazine’s posters that get a yande.re pool in between the Megami pools will be considered as well. But only selected posters or VHR (Very High Resolution) scans. It really needs to look like something that might actually be found on an anime fan’s wall or it’s not really a poster. So no walls of text or walls of images, unless there is some compensating service to make up for the distractions. Also no posters from anime shows that are likely to never have any service or sex appeal of any kind even in their posters.
Also, because somebody asked in the comments, JBOX (aka J-LIST) has some of the magazines for sale. Now mixed in with books for some reason. They do sell out so you should buy them ASAP if you are interested.
Once again, Megami pools are the bookends including stragglers.
