This week’s episode doesn’t offer as much potential nudity as many recent weeks have, but it did cover quite a lot of ground.
Overall Thoughts
A relatively “tame” episode as there are only a few obvious BD nude scenes this week. Not only that but the anime is now starting to bypass some actually really nice chapters. This week’s episode covered chapters 16 and 19 of the manga, skipping over chapter 17 which was a fully dedicated bath scene chapter.
Most likely, this is being done with the intention of covering those chapters later in manga bundle OVAs. I get why they do this, but it kind of sucks because those manga bundled episodes usually don’t have as good of production values and also tend to get bundled as a DVD instead of blu-ray, which usually means 480p video instead of 1080p video. If these got SOME release as 1080p (which rarely happens) and looked just as good as the TV episodes, I’d be fine with it.
As far as the episode itself. It was okay. This series definitely is copying the To Love-Ru formula of putting ecchi situations above story or characters. Which isn’t bad at all when it brings it’s A game, as To Love-Ru so often did. But on a sleepier week like this one, it’s pretty forgettable.
The biggest positive was that after taking the previous week off likely from production difficulties, there’s not many signs here of a production quality drop.
One interesting side note is that there is still shot of Kirara’s boob (censored) in the main broadcast, but in the “less censored” version that boob (while still censored) is being actively squeezed and played with. Makes you wonder what other fun changes and enhancements we might get on the final BD version!
