Overall Thoughts
This episode spent a lot of time both giving backstory and developing the romantic interests of the two main characters, even spilling into the credits to get all the material in. As a result the service was lower than we’d been used to in previous episodes, though it did provide some rare Yona nudity.
For the first time in the series it felt like there was a subtle dip in production values this week. They seemed to rely on tracing the manga with panning stills a little more than usual, and the bodies and faces were often just a little off. It could just be that the episode was a little longer than average and they rushed to make sure they got it done. They’d already skipped a week earlier this season from production falling behind, perhaps felt they couldn’t do it twice. It’s a forgivable sin, especially in a week with relatively low service anyway. Hopefully it’s just a one week thing.
Story-wise, it doesn’t at all feel like this series is two episodes away from ending. The villains have barely appeared at all in the past several episodes.

The important thing to note is that the uncensored version (blu-ray) of the first two episodes comes out in just four days. To celebrate, the twitter page of the anime is having a free sneak peak of the first episode uncensored for the next two hours. Here is the link they provided, though it doesn’t work for me.
