The Fall 2016 anime season is here, and it appears to be the best and deepest ecchi season of 2016.
Series not worth expecting anything from, but should be mentioned anyway
Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku
Lerche
On the surface, this seems like a typical moe / magical girl anime. However, the premise suggests that this series turns into a survival game type. While you wouldn’t normally expect nudity from a series like this, the premise hints at mature themes and with Lerche you never quite know what to expect.

Probably nothing to see here, but the character designs are kind of ‘fanservicey.’ Soul Buster is based on a chinese novel that is itself a based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

The original season was pretty much as expected. Not even close to ever having nudity, but just enough casual fanservice to make it interesting. It will probably be the same story in season two.

Based on a manga about cute girls wearing tight clothes and playing Ping Pong. This show seems like a tame moe kind of show, and will probably be no more servicey than Anitore is, but might still be worth a watch for casual service.

Brave Witches
SILVER LINK
Rumors of a third Strike Witches season stem back over 3 years. While this technically isn’t Strike Witches III , it might as well be as it is a spinoff in the same universe with the same storyline, just with new characters.
Nudity seems very likely given the history of this series, as well as the history of SILVER LINK, but I won’t quite commit to a guarantee, given the commercial success that non-nude moe-action series have had (Kancolle, etc).
Still. This series will probably deliver. Probably. A hex upon you SILVER LINK if you drop the ball here.

Episode one is already out and already uncensored. So we can pretty much expect a repeat of what the first season did.

While I technically can’t prove with 100% certainty that Keijo!!!!!!!! will deliver, it seems extremely likely for the following reasons:
- The manga has plenty of nudity.
- Xebec is animating, and they tend to get it right.
- The ad campaign was over-the-top in its lechery.
- It got licensed in the US extremely fast, during a time when nude ecchi shows tend to be hot items state-side.
- Blu-ray specials are confirmed, per livechart. It would just be weird if they had non-nude specials for a show like this.
So yeah, 99.9% chance this show delivers. Maybe not a ton like HxH, but enough to satisfy.
My overall expectation is that this show will be like a better executed version of Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai. A splash of sports and tease, with just enough nudity to prevent blue-balls.

I’m assuming it will be by the same lower tier studio as before. The quality did improve just slightly in the second OVA, though it was still pretty bad quality wise, worse than most hentai. The huge amount of service sure was nice though.
Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou OVA

This is the follow up OVA to Lerche’s most commercially successful series in years. While a second season hasn’t been announced, the timing of the OVA suggests that it is holding us over until a new season comes along, similar to how the To Love-Ru OVA’s have.
I’ve forgotten exactly which chapters this OVA covers, but I remember looking them up last year and seeing that nudity was in those chapters. So we should expect good things here. My memory is hazy, but IIRC, this OVA introduces Polt, the Kobold. Basically, she’s a sexy wolf-like girl who earns a living at a fitness center / spa. She’s really into fitness.

Fairy Tail: Yousei-tachi no Christmas

For a generic shounen genre show, Fairy Tail has done a better job than most at delivering casual service. For fans of the series, this OVA is probably worth checking out.

Technically this release is for OVAs three and four as each OVA release comes with two episodes. The TV series had small doses of nudity particularly near the end, and the first OVA shocked viewers with an incredible nude scene.

I’m not totally sure which chapters this OVA will cover, though according to this it seems the OVA cover chapters 54 and 55. Haruna and Momo dish out most of the service in those chapters, as well as a group tentacle scene at the end of chapter 55. Mikan also has a brief shower scene that is extremely likely to be covered up in the anime version.
Bikini Warriors OVA

Oddly enough, of all the great options this season, it’s the Bikini Warriors “OVA” that has me the most excited. Twitter accounts have cryptically hinted that six episodes from the original series will be re-edited for spicier content.
If that means we essentially get season one uncensored in full like it should have been all along, then that makes this an amazing installment for the series. There will also be two new episodes to go with it, which each run about 4 minutes apiece.
Overall thoughts on the Fall 2016 season
Quite frankly, 2016 needed a season like this. Winter 2016 very nearly went without a single nipple sighting, and the Spring and Summer seasons had one noteworthy ecchi series apiece. Just two true nude-ecchi shows prior to now. This season looks to have three.
Not only is the TV lineup fairly strong, perhaps on par with the Spring 2015 season, but the OVA releases this season are also loaded.
It kind of reminds me of 2013, which was also a down year for ecchi until the Fall season went crazy with nine series that showed nipples. This season won’t be as crazy as that, but it is still one of the better seasons we’ve seen in a while.
