No Batman this time either. He’s busy with training. Something about having to keep both mind and body buff. Who knew Batman was so smart???

I did say I would say a few words this time even if it was a bare bones review, didn’t I? OK. “Dearly departed —” What, nobody died? Oh, I was talking about DxD the show, wasn’t I? What, DxD hasn’t been cancelled yet? Oh, I must have been getting ahead of myself…
Actually, the less said about the last three episodes of DxD BorN the better. The DxD train basically jumped the tracks over the high bridge and plunged into the abyss. Not good even if there were naked girls on the train. Unfortunately, not nearly as much nudity as there should have been. Too much plot. Not enough PLOT. All for an anime original story arc that DxD fans didn’t want and didn’t deserve. Even worse, the anime creators flip-a-switch’ed Rias’ personality and let it drag on forever. You can’t do that to your best girl. Ever. Enough said.

The bottom line is that DxD fans now have to pay about the same $$ for season 3 BDs for 25% less content. That’s a steep price to pay just for an ego trip. It would have a much better bang for the buck if they had just made the last three episodes non-stop nude bathing scenes including the new girls. Especially including the new girls!
Thus I expected the BD sales for DxD season 3 to drop significantly. I was just hoping that they wouldn’t drop so much that future seasons might be in jeopardy. But according to Wizard:

Go figure. Guess 75% of something is better than 100% of nothing. Here’s hoping that the anime creators have learned from their HUGE mistake and don’t screw up future seasons of the greatness that is DxD!!!
