Is it secret?! Is it safe?!
Just a reminder for those who are still kind of new here- I would really appreciate it if you refrained from sharing the URL of my unlisted youtube videos with others. I upload my videos as unlisted for a reason, to protect them and my account. When users share the video on youtube this puts it in a more public format that can attract unwanted attention, resulting in unwanted difficulties. (Sharing my Dailymotion videos would probably be just fine, as those are published openly.)
My youtube links probably won’t last forever anyway, but they will last way longer if we leave them as is… unlisted. I’m actually thrilled they’ve even lasted this long, but I would love to be greedy and get a few more months out of them before I have to figure out yet another alternative.
Unfortunately, there isn’t really an “ideal” place to host my videos. Dailymotion usually turns a blind eye but not always, as does youtube if it’s not listed and not shared. For everything else, there’s google drive, which is only free up to 15GB, and is kinda shitty for streamed video compared to the previous options.
Since I’m on this topic, I should mention that the direct downloads and the streamed video are not a guarantee to last. The streamed video could disappear tomorrow, and the downloads could be dead in a year or two, who knows? If there is a video you want, I would recommend downloading it while the torrents are alive and the DDL links are active.
