Everything is awesome, everything is cool when you’re a part of a team. (Good luck getting that song out of your head).
So a few days back I made a post asking readers for help, and the response has been overwhelming. I currently have 16 volunteers signed up and still waiting to officially register a couple more who’ve contacted me.
While obviously it would be best to have a small handful of ace contributors, there really isn’t any way of knowing who these contributors are without giving them a shot first, so please be patient as the next few weeks are going to have plenty of auditions.
Since I started this site back in September of 2013, I’ve gotten a lot of requests for content that I simply don’t have time to cover. For example, providing coverage of intentionally non-nude ecchi anime. I’ve also gotten requests for opinion pieces and contests. But again, time is scarce.
Now that I have some help, it is my hope and wish that content here can expand to cover some areas that were previously untouched.
While I personally think non-nude ecchi can politely fuck off, that does not change the fact that anime girls with great bodies in tight bikinis are still fun to look at, and while I wouldn’t watch a dozen 23 minute episodes of such an anime by choice, I certainly wouldn’t mind taking 30 seconds every now to read a blog post showing all the best parts. I know there are a lot of people here who feel the same way, and it’s my hope that this catches on with the contributors who pledge to help with content.
I’ve received some very good ideas for new content in the future and I’d ask for your patience as we kind of feel this thing out. Obviously, most people that have volunteered have no prior experience with blogging, so please be extra patient and supportive (though constructive comments are always welcome).
My hope is that as this process goes along, those with talent will become self-evident and hopefully stick around. That’s why I’ve assembled a fairly large group of contributors, with the idea that out of a large group, hopefully we get a few stud contributors for the long haul.
But in the mean time, I don’t want anyone to feel pressured or sensitive about their work. I just want people to have fun. If the writer isn’t having fun, there’s no way the reader would.
For everyone else, if you want to help, the best way is to support contributors that you like by commenting on their posts. Commenting is like the blogging version of applause, the more comments you see, the more an author knows he’s reaching people. Even if it is just to link pictures of boobs from an anime that just aired that is total non-sequitur, anything helps.

One of the other perks of having such a big group is that at least a couple of these guys have recently purchased or ordered ecchi blu-rays.
Azstraph recently received his Samurai Girls After OVA, which isn’t yet available by torrent. He was kind enough to send me the bonus scene which I have since uploaded to Dailymotion. We’re currently working together to bring a compilation video to the site if things work out as hoped.
Additionally, iluvhouki has informed me that he just put in order in for the High School DxD OVA due this march. While it is probable that fansubbers will pick up that OVA immediately, it’s nice knowing that at least one person will be getting it right away.
A few contributors have made their own compilation and/or music videos, so keep an eye out for those as well.
Of course, with all this help it’s my hope that we can better scan the interwebs to get breaking ecchi news on the blog faster than ever.
For me, the real benefit of all this help is that I get to spend more time making videos, and also that I get to turn some attention to the site side of things, like trying to figure out why the server is a bit unstable or how I’m going to set up a donation page. I also plan on doing a contributor page in the future for people who want to join the team down the road.
I’m not saying it won’t be a bumpy ride at times, but I feel like this is a very big moment for this site and I am excited for the future of this place. I want to thank everyone who’s come forward to help, and also all the regular commenters who’ve done their part too.
