Second and last
With the second blu-ray came another special, which is this – another short animation involving a sex scene between Michio and Roxanne. The producers knew what the main appeal of the show would be, so it makes sense that scenes like this comprise the content of the blu-ray exclusive material. Once again, there isn’t much of a need to narrate or describe scenes like this, nor is there any manga material to relate to, as this is anime original.
Much like during the broadcast, Roxanne uses her body and impressive assets to erotically wash Michio.
There are several stitches from this special that are cut short because of late movement – it’s rather unfortunate as they would have been even better had they been able to be completed.
To my surprise, I didn’t address this while the series was airing. I’m not a fan of the way Roxanne is drawn in the anime. In my opinion, the less lines used for women (unless you’re trying to draw a muscle girl) the better. There are far too many lines on Roxanne on just about every shot, and it just makes her look awkward, and in some contexts, fat.
Cowgirl is a position that becomes more common as the anime and manga progresses; I suppose this is to show variety in the sex scenes and to show that Roxanne and Sherry are growing more comfortable around Michio. After all, “show, don’t tell,” is a highly touted writing technique. Fortunately, showing in this case involves Roxanne and Sherry in a variety of sexual positions and nude poses.
Judging from Roxanne’s behavior (ie. being much more comfortable around Michio) in this special, it probably takes place after the first, and shortly before Michio gets Sherry. That’s about all I can determine in regards to the “plot” for this episode, beyond the fact that once again, Michio and Roxanne have sex. More importantly, this is likely (at least in my estimate) the last bit of animated media we’ll ever get of this franchise, as I have outlined my thoughts on the unlikeliness of a season 2 in the episode 12 post. That’s not to say it can’t happen, though, but doing so would be a strange endeavor.
As for some positive news, the 9th manga volume was just released and now is a better time than ever to start reading the manga. At the moment, the story is progressing quite nicely, the world is expanding, and soon we will get our first sighting of the third harem member, Miria.
