Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo Episode 11 Fanservice Review

Prelude

This episode is either a prelude to a good sendoff, or a grand disappointment. The pace for this episode was utterly glacial, and it has me very worried they could pull the unthinkable next episode. I’d normally say to at least enjoy the content of this episode for now, then worry later, but this episode did not have much to enjoy quite frankly. I’ll have more to say below.

We have a long sequence here of Michio explaining his thinking to Roxanne: he wants to write a will should he die. Roxanne rejects this, stating that she will either find a way to protect Michio, or follow him in death. Regardless, Michio intends to visit Alan, to purchase a dwarf (who are able to become Master Smith’s) that can use the Skill Crystal he has recently acquired. Michio of course, would prefer a woman.

A talk on the nature of dwarf slaves, particularly those acquired for the purpose of becoming Smith’s, is discussed at length. Michio is aware that there are specific conditions required for unlocking certain jobs, which along with Roxanne’s proposal that they may as well talk to the one dwarf at the establishment, is enough to convince Michio to take a closer look at our soon-to-be newly added harem member.

Sherry’s first appearance – rather subdued compared to Roxanne’s. While her proportions aren’t as striking, she is no less attractive. Her personality and how it comes to be shaped as she grows accustomed to the Michio household is also something to behold, especially when she’s drunk. Unfortunately, the anime is nowhere near that point.

Yes, I did post the same close-up of Sherry’s face, but only to show you that her face there was not and could not be a part of the above stitch because they are different.

Sherry’s rather desperate in her attempts to appeal to Michio – something that puzzles him. She admits that she failed to become a Master Smith, but does add that she’s tall for a dwarf girl, and was one of the strongest people in her village. Michio likely had his mind made up on first sight though. Her fate was sealed, and for once that phrase is used positively.

Roxanne asks to step outside with the woman at the door, thinking back to how well she was treated by her. Michio permits this, which allows he and Alan to talk about some things they’d normally be unable to in the presence of women. In particular, and this does give me at least some hope for next episode, Alan mentions that she’s aware she’ll likely be used for sex when purchased.

Roxanne’s face clouds over, as she does her best male hentai protagonist impression for a moment. She of course, has no choice but to obey Michio’s desire to purchase another female slave.

Sherry is now officially a member of the party, and with it, the awkward “getting to know each other” phase begins. This won’t stop Michio from having sex with her before the end of the day.

Sherry’s surprise at Michio’s ability to use skills that he should not be able to given his job is the first indicator that she’s actually a very smart girl. This will not be the first time she catches onto something strange about Michio.

Being told that Michio can use spells and have multiple jobs causes this look of confusion and bewilderment. Sherry eventually resigns to simply accepting the many oddities she will encounter in her adventure with Michio.

With how this episode played out I fear that episode 12 will not give us a proper Sherry scene. Only 2 chapters were covered, and it feels like they went out of their way to pad this episode as long as possible. I expected us to get at least through the shopping sequences, and worst part is that there are some absolutely blatant shots of Sherry’s ass that were not included in this episode, which I find very strange. It lends some credence, at least in my mind, to my belief that Kadokawa may have wanted to avoid including any fanservice with Sherry because of her body type, the one that starts with the letter L.

For next episode, we’d need to get through 5 chapters, some of which are fairly lengthy, to get to a proper Sherry scene. Shopping, dungeon crawling, bath time, a somewhat drawn out buildup as the three prepare to go to bed, and then the scene itself. I do try to be positive when it comes to potential, but the next episode would have to either speedrun to that point, or cut out a large portion of something to get there. To be honest, I just don’t see that happening. It seems more likely that we’ll get the next three chapters adapted only, which ends as the new trio has dinner. I see no other good stopping point, as the next chapter is the bath time, and to stop just after that would be a highly questionable move for several reasons.

All that can be done now is to wait for the episode 12 PV which should be uploaded soon.

As I was writing this, for some reason, I noticed that Sherry’s voice actor decided to tweet out that the character was 16, for whatever reason. You can interpret this however you’d like.
