Kimisen Episode 1 Fanservice Review

This has potential

Kimi to Boku, fully named Kimi to Boku no Saigo no Senjou Aruiwa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen, is an adaptation of a fantasy LN I have not read nor heard about until today. The story is apparently about a corrupt kingdom with rival factions that may work together to fight a greater evil once their leaders fall in love. Sounds cool, but I’m more interested in the cute girls and there are a number of them in episode 1. Such as lead heroine Alice –

Cute girl #2 is saved from imprisonment by the male lead. Her name is Sisbell. She is a witch, and being a witch is apparently grounds for persecution in this world. I know what you’re thinking; how can someone this cute be a villain?

Cute girl #3 is the spunky redhead Nene. When she isn’t aggressively flirting with the MC (who, of course, is too cool to return those advances) she works as an engineer.

Cute girl #4 is the clumsy klutz representative of the harem, named Mismis. Thicker than a bowl of oatmeal. Feeling strong best girl vibes from this one, personally.

and cute girl #5 is a personal assistant/maid to the main heroine Alice. Whether or not she’s a part of the harem or not is TBD. There’s a lot of fighting in this scene. Magical spells, blades clashing and whatnot. Male lead uses dual blades in a not so subtle imitation of Kirito.

Alice has strong tsun tendencies, as you can see. She’s also strong in other areas.

No nudity, of course. But a bath scene is episode one is awesome. And according to some LN readers, she bathes a lot in this series as a way of reliving stress. So there’s probably more where that came from.

Hard not to like what you see here unless your expectations were high going in. The girls are cute, there’s lots of eye catches that aren’t even remotely subtle, and there’s even some “plot” to help make the fanservice feel more meaningful as its connected to a greater story. We got a bath scene in episode uno and it probably won’t be the tip of the iceberg.

I’ve heard there’s legitimate romance in the LN. Not the “I don’t dislike you baka” romance but actually two people getting together. If that’s true, wonderful. But even if not, I would be satisfied with some lewd teasing and strong advances made upon him by the entire harem.

There’s bound to be some people in the comments who have read the LN. If so, feel free to point out any changes and give some hints for things to come. No spoilers on who the end grill is, though it seems fairly obvious to be Alice.
