Goblin as a childhood friend.
Much like the previous episode this one has some changes from the manga which ends up having both a good and bad impact. So it is looking like doing things differently from the manga is going to be a common thing for this season. It does result in us getting some extra nudity but also removes something that could had given us something more if left in.
The others find out that Peter was captured and Tim is going to rescue him and Luvellia. The others then agree to go with him since they don’t want the goblins to get Peter’s cum.
Peter is locked up and remembers what happened to him with the queen as he tries to find a way to escape. Eventually the goblin from before arrives and lets him out as he follows her but she doesn’t answer him as to why she is helping him or tells him where Luvellia is.
She tells Peter that she is Gobuko as Peter remembers her as we get a flashback. When Peter and his sister were younger they found an abandoned goblin and named her and decided to raise her as a sibling. Eventually though a group of people in hoods who are focused on killing all goblins (which are obviously a parody of the happy happyists from earthbound and not any other real life group that wears hoods and wants certain people eliminated) show up and take her away. She says she managed to eventually escape from them before being killed and the queen took her in to raise her after that.
Peter checks to make sure she really is who she says by touching her chin like they did when she was younger and sees her reaction is the same. He tells her he really does remember her when she questions if he really did as he thinks to himself how he purposely tried not to out of sadness from losing her. After he calls her family he is able to convince her to take him to where Luvellia is being held so they can save her.
Tim and the others are searching the cave and hiding after Mimi causes goblins to hear them and search. This part is different from the manga and is the start of the large amount of changes they did in this episode. Will address it later but neither Tim or the other’s are supposed to be in the cave right now in the manga.
As Peter and Gobuko continue to sneak around she suddenly goes into heat and says the queen must have activated her pheromones which cause the goblins to go into heat. As she asks Peter to fuck her. He tells her they don’t have time and they have to keep going and that they are family and she agrees to hold back for him and stops. This is similar to the manga but a big change is about to happen here. Will get to it when they return to this scene in a bit where the change fully occurs.
The others keep searching for Peter as Mimi finds a button and presses it causing a trap door to open as everyone falls down it.
Back with Peter and Gobuko she isn’t able to hold back and asks him to fuck her again. As her grabs her breasts and tries to calm her down that way while fighting the urge to give her what she wants. This is where some major changes happen here. First off the part with him fondling her breasts is anime original so they did actually give us new content here. But this came at the cost of removing other stuff. Mind you this other stuff was off screen but still they could had made this give us content instead. In the manga Peter and Gobuko end up hiding in a locker from the guards. This results in them being pushed together as she goes into heat. The heat stuff is another thing from the manga and it’s explanation that was skipped as well but the character that talks about that is about to appear so will bring that up when we get there. But when the both of them are in the locker Peter eventually gives in and fucks Gobuko right there.
Afterwards he regrets doing it due to them being family as they get up to continue searching for Luvellia. Why the anime decided to remove this and replace it with him simply fondling her breasts I have no idea. Maybe they will move it to the next episode though obviously rewritten to be different but this was an odd change. Sure it resulted in us getting service not in the manga by replacing an off screen sex with it. But they could had instead just turned the offscreen sex into on screen instead. More changes are coming up as well.
Just as Peter is fighting the desire to fuck her the others crash down on them after falling from above. After they question what he was doing he tells them he wasn’t fucking her and it just looks like that. As they are talking Tim alerts them to someone entering the room.
This scene is of course anime original due to the changes with the other being there. In the manga the other girls don’t actually follow Tim and instead get lost in a forest where they get isekai’d and end up going on a week long adventure in another world with the four of them eventually saving that world from a demon lord and this gets referenced again later. Tim and the rest of the guild members do show up at the cave but only on the outside where Peter meets them later. So all of this is completely different from what the manga did. Then we have the next change coming up.
As the person enters the room Tim tells everyone it is Kenji the goblin hunter who knows everything about goblins. Kenji says that he loves goblins and so he learned everything about them. Peter notices the horns on the ones with him are shrinking indicating they are no longer in heat. They ask him what did he do to cause that because if they could stop the goblins from being in heat they could prevent them from being killed. Kenji says he only gave the goblins what they wanted and since he is the only one that loves goblins that is why he was the only one to discover the secret. When they ask what the secret is he suddenly gets knocked out by a rock thrown by the other goblins as they get surrounded.
Some significant plot stuff skipped here and changes. Everyone can tell it’s supposed to be a Goblin Slayer parody but how this scene plays out is fully different from the manga. I mentioned it last week but back in episode one before Peter got captured both he and Tim were supposed to seek out Kenj and would meet him at his house to get advice on the goblins. Later on after Tim finds out Peter was captured he returns to talk to him to get more information on how they can stop the goblins and save Peter. This is where some significant plot is brought up. Who knows if this will be moved to next episode or not but Kenji says that only the queen goblin can give birth and she releases pheromones that cause all the goblins to go into heat and rape men to collect their semen to bring back to the queen to use. Any male goblins are also raped dry till they die which is why no male goblins are around. This happens whenever a new queen is put into power since she wants to increase her army so she activates a switch that releases the pheromones which results in the goblin attacks. When it is suggested killing the queen to stop it he says doing so will just cause a new queen to take her place and before he can tell them the secret to really end it he is knocked out by a rock much like here.
We then have another change about to happen one that is a bad one.
The others tell Peter and Gobuko to leave the goblins to them as they get ready to fight them. This gives Peter and Gobuko an opening to escape so they can find Luvellia. This scene is of course anime original since like I said Tim and the others are not here in the cave with them or even Kenji in the manga. At this point in the manga both Peter and Gobuko have remained undetected. In the manga after Peter fucks her the first time they continue to look for Luvellia as they discuss the heat phase for goblins and how even the goblins don’t know how to stop it and that it has been happening ever since the new queen was put in power. As Peter does not know about the stuff Kenji tells Tim as this point. As they are walking the heat switch keeps activating and this results in Gobuko asking Peter to fuck her every few steps. As a result we get a scene where they walk a bit and he fucks her then they walk a bit again and then fucks her again and keeps doing this over and over.
Really strange for them to remove this part as it could had easily provided us some nice anime original service. Sure it’s possible they might had moved this to later but I doubt that unless they make some major rewrites since this scene wouldn’t work later once the heat pheromones stuff is resolved. The only possible thing I can think of is if the final part of this arc is modified to have Peter take part in something that has to happen later to stop the goblin invasion for good but they also include Gobuko in it to account for this scene removed. But even if they do that it won’t be the same context. But there is an “orgy” of sorts that should be happening in the next episode but with the changes made here who knows what they might do. Regardless this is one of the bad changes made as it removes service and doesn’t replace it with something else. There is also other stuff after this in the manga the anime skips but not anything too important. But at this point in the manga is when they discover Peter missing and have concluded that Gobuko has betrayed them.
Peter and Gobuko reach Luvellia as Gobuko gets the keys from a guard and gives them to Peter so he can let her out. As they get ready to leave the queen and her troops show up seeing that Gobuko has turned on them as she gets ready to fight her as the episode ends.
Not as much content this episode compared to the previous but that is because the other girls aren’t really near Peter this episode. We also had a huge amount of changes for this episode from plot related ones to service ones. The good is that one of the scenes added in gave us service but the price is throwing away an opportunity to give us even better service by simply turning off screen sex into on screen. We also had other instances of sex removed as well. This is kind of a worrying thing since by this point in time Peter hasn’t fucked anyone in the season when he has in the manga. Next episode in theory they should have him be implied to had fucked Gobuko again when they return to town like in the manga but that still doesn’t change the fact that it should had happened multiple times by then.
With the amount of changes they did this episode can only hope they do something next episode to make up for it. At this point comparing it to the manga might be pointless since this episode had them loosely following this episode’s chapters. So the show might be near impossible to predict at this point as who knows what alterations they are planning. It’s possible these changes could be good ones and hopefully they will be and they don’t start doing bad changes that remove service instead. Looking at episode 3 preview pics it does appear that the goblin arc will finish next week and Peter’s sister arc will start most likely at the end of the episode as she is shown in those pics. Also based on other said pics there is going to be even more original changes taking place plot wise it looks like. So next week much like this one is looking to deviate from the manga as well. Hopefully the changes provide something good along with it.
Funny thing I noticed after posting the episode 1 post. I had the “new” 3000th post on the site. I say “new” because we had the 3000th post nearly a year ago but after we lost 6 months worth of posts due to the server issues last year that caused us to go back down in number. Glad I only really lost two posts during that one of which was a news post. The other I could redo and back post if I ever get bored by just copying everything from the internet archive of the post but that is just the final episode of isekai maou 2. But that show was shit so who cares. But probably will one day.
