Time for the setup for the final episode. One of girls finally goes over to the dark side. And Shikimi gets revenge in her mind at least. Unfortunately both Guri and Seiji have to level down to super idiot mode to make it happen…

Only fools stand around and let Shikimi turn Guri into a demon girl. Turns out Shikimi sold her soul to Satan (no surprise!) and has been scheming with him to make Guri fall and become a demon instead of an angel.
Best view of Guri’s boobs yet. How ironic that she has to become a demon girl for that to happen….
How ironic that the youngest main character, Yuzu, is the only one that acts like an adult in the entire debacle… She made the other main characters look stupid and immature…
This time Akane is the one left feeling jealous at the end of the episode. After Yuzu finally convinces Seiji to get off his ass and go rescue Guri. How ironic…

Thoughts
With all the setup for the final episode, there wasn’t much time for fanservice this episode although a brief nude of demon Guri was nice. And Guri is a hottie as a demon girl. And Shikimi is a sort of like walking fanservice. Of a very dangerous kind…
Good to see Shikimi kiss Seiji though. Now all the main girls + Shikimi have kissed Seiji. Wish more harem anime would do that…
Unfortunately another episode where Shikimi becomes a main character and takes over the show. Mainly because three of the other main characters level down to super idiot mode. Of which I am not a fan to be honest. At least Guri has consistently been an idiot and Akane is understandable as petty jealousy but Seiji has been smarter and more sensitive except for the Shikimi episodes. Flip-a-switch personalities tend to take away from plot and character development. But Renai Boukun is first and foremost a comedy so being serious about plot and character development is not going to be its strong point. Renai Boukun has been better at that than most anime comedies to be fair.
Fortunately, Renai has a history of getting back on track so there’s a good chance that they last episode will wrap things up nicely. Let’s hope they don’t forget about some fanservice for dessert!
Shikimi is much better as a supporting character than a main character. Doesn’t hurt that she’s easy on the eyes…
Renai Boukun is so much better when it goes for both comedy and service first and foremost. Full speed ahead and torpedoes be damned…
An ecchi anime comedy that’s actually funny. Very nice. Albeit a little bloody. But done for comedy.
Visuals look good when they are not going for comic relief. I had fun making stitches and webms
