In this second season of an epic ecchi drought, one of the pleasant surprises has been a shonen fighting anime with a girl that is more than a match for the baka boy and manages to be both cute and sexy with a good amount of leg & thigh service plus other kinds of mild ecchi such as motorboating and boob bounce.

Rokuro is from a family of exorcists who remove the evil Kegare, but his real dream is to be a singer, a soccer player, or anything other than an exorcist. When another exorcist name Benio arrives, Rokura is suddenly inflamed with competitive spirit and decides to put his natural knack to good use. Their rivalry gets more complicated when they both learn they are the destined “Twin Star Exorcists,” two ultimate fighters fated to marry and create the prophesied child who will eliminate all the Kegare in the world.

Benio doesn’t need saving by a baka boy. That’s my kind of mc girl. Hope it stays that way all the way until the end. Too many shonen series push the girls aside at the last minute in order to let the baka boy hog the limelight.
The mc couple actually have pretty good chemistry. There was a twist in ep 02 of an arranged marriage and they think they hate each other right now but this just might turn into a pretty decent romance anime.
I want to like the artwork in this show. Making stitches has been fun. Even if some of the stitches have been really hard to make. But the artwork of the characters seems to be dropping in quality. It’s starting to show up in the stitches. Can’t be good. Low budgets rarely are…

From what I can tell, this anime is scheduled for 12 episodes but I have seen comments saying it was planned for four cour or 48+ episodes.
I’m not sure if there will be further mini-reviews or not. Depends on the amount of fanservice and the artwork quality. And how kiddy-ified it gets. The show seems to be clearly aimed at kids more than adults. But I’ll probably keep watching it to the end. Benio is a swell mc-chan and the show is fun to watch. So far…
So no chance of nudity in Sousei no Onmyouji (Twin Star Exorcists) now or on BDs but it’s still a fun show with unexpected but mild ecchi. Check it out if you are not allergic to mild ecchi.
