Technically no censored nudity in this episode, though it does make you wonder if redraws might be in the plans.
There is a quick shower scene at the very start, though it is surprisingly non-nude (note the towel over Mikoto’s shoulders).
Anyway, time to get suited up and kick some generic bad guy butt.
Turns out some other hot female vigilante beats Mikoto to the punch. I guess that’s.. bad? Anyway, they fight.
Time for a mission report. In all seriousness, these debriefing scenes are actually pretty cool, they have a genuine feel in a cinematic sense, like getting a tiny slice of a top anime.
But who cares about any of that. Boobs!
So of course, the vigilante / secret agent arsonist beotch that Mikoto ran into is actually another girl at her school, same wacky hairdo and all.
And of course, Mikoto is super oblivious and can’t make the connection. She does show us her panties while sitting on the stairs though.
One nice thing about this anime so far, they haven’t really bothered censoring panty shots very much. Let’s be honest, censoring anything other than private parts or gore is kinda silly. Good on you, Xebec.

Some random half naked female gets mixed in with druggies. For a might-as-well be-nameless character they spend a lot of time on her this episode. I guess it’s because her ass looks so nice in lingerie.
Anyway, Mikoto and her new arsonist vigilante buddy Chikage have some good female bonding. Mikoto sheds some tears after hearing Chikage’s sob story, and things turn oddly sexual in a hurry.
Yuuko gets a massage, and nearly shows her tits many times before running off. Even the massage girls are bummed that they don’t get to rub them (not joking).
There’s a scene at the end that feels a bit rushed. It’s like they fit an episode worth of material into five minutes. Oh well, if that means they get through every fanservice scene in the manga, I can live with some breakneck pacing.
They also seem to be setting up a villain who might not actually die 30 seconds after appearing on the screen for the first time. Isn’t that neat?
Anyway, boobs!

There was one major difference between the anime and manga in this episode. I guess a picture says it best:
Could redraws be coming for BD? Maken-Ki! Two was this staff’s previous project, and it was basically built around redraws like this one might be.
Overall, this was a very average episode on an anime level. Not bad, not great. The first two episodes had better art and better storytelling. Oh well. At least this anime promises to never be boring with its fast pacing and a constant barrage of T ‘n A.
The service was also a bit disappointing, I kind of expected this anime to work in a nude scene into every single episode given the presumed lack of BD specials. Maybe they’ll redraw for nipples in this episode, but there wasn’t any obvious censored nudity.
This episode wasn’t a complete disappointment of course. For one thing, there was plenty of quality non-nude service.
More importantly, this episode basically covered volume three of the manga, continuing this anime’s insane pacing of one tankobon volume per episode. At this rate the anime will cover the entire manga to date, and that’s a very good thing because it gives us a real chance of seeing every nude scene from the manga in anime form, and there are quite a lot of them.
Speaking of which, the next spectacular nude bathing scene comes in the 4th tankobon, which means we’ll see it in the next episode, if the current pacing holds up.
