A good episode for action with mostly good art quality. There’s no onsen action this time, but there is some censorship near the end that is likely to deliver on BD.
Some censorship here. As you can see below, there are some faintly visible areola in the manga during the original version of this scene.
Applying filters to this scene shows that Xebec took extra care to hide something by adding an extra layer of darkness censorship.
There was a sneaky bit of censorship at the very end as well. Sayo wakes up from a coma and goes on a rampage. Here’s a manga comparison of the scene and how it looked in the anime:
It seems very likely that a nude scene was totally blacked out here.
…
Overall, this was a very enjoyable episode despite the lack of service and fast pacing. A lot of stuff happens, and the backstory behind chairman Mochizuki and the real reason for Arashi’s childhood survival was actually pretty interesting.
I liked how the art quality rebounded in this episode, it’s basically back to about the same level that it was at the start of the series.
It was cool seeing the main villains finally clashing with Black Label for the first time. The Murasaki twins are hot as hell, it’s a shame we may never see them naked. At least we get a few nice ass shots from them here.
A few scenes were cut out. One of them is a flashback where Arashi remembers how Sayo pushed him through his enfeeblement while recovering from his near death experience. The anime version simply has a quick line about how Arashi owes her a debt of gratitude. Probably the right call there.
There’s also some nude material from the manga that sadly does not make it in. First there was a bonus chapter for Oriha and her idol friends playing detective then getting naked afterwards. It couldn’t fit with the rest of the episode so it was left out.
There was also some hot springs bonus art from the start of this same volume that they couldn’t quite work in.
On the plus side, this episode covered one and a half tankobon volumes, putting the series back on track to complete 10 tankobon volumes in 10 episodes.
We probably won’t see any onsen action happen again until episode nine. The next episode should be fun though, as Sayo has a big battle coming up while being almost completely naked the entire time.
