High School DxD is back. It may not have been the masterpiece that was season two, but it still managed to be one of the better fanservice series of 2015.
A classic manga becomes a surprisingly solid J.C. Staff anime. It wasn’t perfect, but it did do the one thing that mattered most, something J.C. Staff had not done for a dozen years prior.
The Monster Musume manga is one of the best ecchi manga currently going, so the anime had a lot to live up to. Lerche’s adaptation came with high expectations, and yet still managed to exceed them.
Amuro Ninagawa joins the swimming club at Umineko Shougyou High (“Umishou” for short). Her speed and unorthodox swimming style (plus her personal habit of nude swimming) surprises every club member.
To Love-Ru Darkness 2nd does just enough to achieve god-tier status as a fanservice series, even if a handful of flaws keep it from reaching the high heights of season one.
