This dog got more game than me.
Inu ni Nattara Suki na Hito ni Hirowareta or My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog is an anime about a guy who has been turned into a dog and taken in by his crush. Inukai is the typical kuudere but has an insane love on the verge of bestiality for her new dog. She has a great figure though and it leads to tons of ecchi moments, so it’ll be interesting to see what’s added to the anime that isn’t in the manga, this first episode has tons of added scenes and extended chapter 1 pretty well. The first episode is the classic anime bath scene but it’s great to get a whole episode on it. The second episode is very tame compared to the first and just has a lot of panty shots but introduces Nekotani-san, Inukai’s friend.
Episode 1:
I don’t know why they decided to keep the shirt solid here whereas it was transparent just before, it’s the same in the manga so it’s not an issue with the anime.
Ice queen Inukai.
Strange lightbars over Inukai here considering they show her nipples in the very next scene.
Episode 2:
Pochita starts to question why he’s a dog and how to become a human in this episode which is the main storyline for the MC.
The start of the panty shots which were not in the manga surprisingly.
Pochita saves Inukai from a concussion.
Nekotani is introduced
Nekotani lives next to the MCs house when he was human. So he believes if she takes him home he can return back to his house.
They restructured this a bit so that they could end it before Pochita and Nekotani interacts.
Overall, these two episodes were a good start with pretty good animation for a short form episode, there’s 12 episodes + 2 OVA’s for Inuhiro so hopefully the animation can stay consistent. Studio Quad is fairly new to animating with not many other examples of anime to pull from, we’ll have to see how it goes. The MC’s voice actor is coming off a successful Shikimori-san acting role as the main character so both him and the girls are sounding great, I love the switch between Inukai’s kuudere mode and loving mode towards Pochita. At the very start of the bath scene in episode 1 there was a strange moment where Inukai was covered by lightbars, I’m not sure the choice for this but there was plenty of nipples throughout the episode. This was my first review, so bear with me as I’m learning but looking forward for the rest of the season!
