I could only find two changes in this entire anime on BD, but one of them was Project no.9’s very first nipple sighting.

Okay then, now the changes. I only found two, but were both quite nice.
The first is the one you clicked on this link for. During the fourth episode- a beach themed episode heavy on service- Momoko and the rest of the girls lose their swimsuits to an aggravated giant squid.
Usually this is done with the action happening off screen, we just see the empty swimwear flying through the sky. In Momoko’s case though, they actually show her top being removed, with the tentacle arm covering the important area. Here’s what the original TV version looked like:
Nobody suspected this to be screen cropping, but it turned out to be exactly that on BD:
Not the best drawn nipple ever, but they show enough to leave no doubt.
Have to say, this is pretty cool. I honestly never thought I’d see Project No.9 draw a nipple in one of their anime projects. And one is so much better than none.

The second change was surprisingly lecherous. For an anime that loved cleavage, blank boobs, and tight clothing, it was mostly a family-friendly show that avoided lecherous panty shots or plainly shown bare butts. Yet at the end of the final episode, a duel between Momoko and Onihime provided this censored shot:

This is a Maken-Ki! season one grade panty shot. Fairly intense, and upskirt no less.
Overall, there wasn’t much from this show for hardcore ecchi fans, but I have to say that it did provide more than I expected. Project No.9 had never done nudity, and the source material was non-nude as well. One nipple is all we got, but it’s one more than I would have guessed going in.
Project No.9’s anime have mostly bombed, so I don’t know if more productions are in their future. It would be cool though if they tried their hand at a true nude-ecchi series just once, especially if they brought along the same character designer than handled Momo Kyun Sword . This anime wasn’t bad actually, yet it could have been one of the years best ecchi titles had it gone for it much more on BD.
